Check out coins that are just starting out with wholesome projects that don't need massive ICOs. Those are the ones that will stand the test of time. PlusOneCoin, Steffycoin, Veggiecoin, Manilacoin. The true test in my opinion is having a good active dev team, not needing a massive ICO and actually having a product

Cardano, nano and stratis is perhaps the most undervalued coin for me. Very long in my portfolio is a monero, but I have already lost faith in it, but I do not hurry to sell.

Most people agree that Ethereum could be the greatest cryptocurrency as an asset and as a technology with promise.
If you went in before 2017 and held, then you can have great returns right now. But the question is what happens going forward. Assetwise for the upcoming future ETH can only go much further if it proves that it can handle some of its issues like scalability.

I think with speculation the price can only rise a little from what is is now.
A double-edged sword for ETH right now is great ICOs and downright scams. Because most are in their early stages, we have to wait and see how they fare up. Otherwise, ETH can be overtaken by established coins like NEO (if they can get their act right) and even upcoming ones like the Multiversum project that has newer, more promising ideas.

I think once the bull run starts in a couple of months the best returns would come from lesser known, undervalued but promising coins with inherent values in their concept, team & road-map.

my fav ADA is undervalued in my opinion. backed by an amazing team. I do think it will easily hit $1 in 2018. Just seeing how much they improve the coin on a daily basis.

but nobody knows if they can deliver.
for sure,... they do have one of the absolut best teams out there in the space!!!

i was always pointing on ZenCash last days,... didnt know about the binance stuff.
but here we are!! but still undervalued,... will go to top 50 marketcap coins next 2-3 month i believe.

zoin as well a super intersting privat coin.

=> zebi,... google a little bit,... you will love it.
=> und i think zilliqua / wanchain are as well 2 alts which will run better than many other altcoins

Everything is undervalued right now. I've heard about Dragonchain but not sure if I want to invest anything in it yet. My personal would be alts that are bringing something new to the current system. I have IOTA and ADA in my list along with EOS. All three of them are deeply undervalued and when they start rising there will no stop.

This year the most money I've eathed with two coins: dignity and DTR + BTC and ETH, but currnelty I have almost no money in ETH and BTC. Dignity and DTR are low, but with huge potencial, so for past week I started moving some money in this two. So just in a week I've earned nice amount with dignity, not jet with DTR. But both are very low....so....

If you get a time, do a simple research on REMME. They have a brilliant project backing their token which is in area of online data security. They are expected to launch their masternode in Q3, 2018. The project is expected to be a success in long run because online data security is gaining popularity nowadays because of increasing threats and hacks.

I think rebellious.io has a lot of potential.  Right now REBL is still fairly cheap and it only costs around 5k to have neoug hfor a masternode when they launch their own chain.
