Hi guys,

Just wondering how you guys cope with real-life issues and emotions such as anger, sadness etc?
I usually try to watch a comedy or take shower to (try) enlightening my mood. I also started to read "Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy".
So how do you cope with these issues?

As a person who suffers from Depression and Axiety disorders, I've found that surrounding myself in an almost suffocating amount of joyus atmosphere always cheers me up. however it doesnt work for all moods

Sad=watch mlp, I simply cannot stop myself from smiling
angry= listen to sad music to change moods, then watch mlp, Or listen to "uproaring" music and get "amped up" to play a Shooter like BF3 to "blow off" the steam

Anyother moods that you have in mind?

Death, disease -> Chocolate, movies, TV shows and prescription drugs.

Love issues -> Alcohol, drugs and hookers.

For everything else -> Work!

Don't read self-help stuff, it wont help in the long run, plus the vast majority is just bullshit.

Eating? I don't think that it will fix anything. But playing game is a nice idea, it will use your brain and spirit for something different

Sometimes crying and shouting can help you pulling out all the negativity you keep inside.

I'm a really shy and silent guy so it happens rarely to me but it makes me feel  better.

Healthiest thing to do is to swallow your emotions. It'll cause a pain in your gut the first few times because your body doesn't want to swallow your emotions, so just go ahead and swallow that, too. You'll eventually develop a kind of emotional tolerance where you stop feeling, which is when you'll want to find a reputable cocaine dealer. Some people go ahead and get the cocaine first -- big mistake.

Scream all anger out. It really helps to calm you down. Do not try to hide your anger, it does not work.

I play games for a hobbie, but playing games with friends is always good to deal with anger. It gets your attention on the game, and yo ucan get some laughs together with your friends.
To deal with sadness I find myself looking to meet up with some of my best friends to drink a beer and talk, it never loses the fun of doing it.

If it's nothing I can do anything about then I usually just watch something that will make me happy etc. if it's something I can fix then I normally rage at it and end up fixing it somehow after working on it awhile.
