Wow, this seems like a big milestone technically . Was just a glimmer in the eye not that long ago to have integration with POS systems. Further re-inforces how absurdly petty banks are being with their pig-headedness towards bitcoin-using customers, the very lifeblood they depend upon (POS payments systems) are just routing around them.

I think this is a really huge deal... its been hard to suggest to restaurants etc. to accept BTC when they would have to roll out a whole new, independent payment method by themselves.  After all, that's why they would be using a commercial POS system in the first place.  If the option is already provided as part of a system they are already using, then presumably all they have to do is enable it in the system and have a wallet set up.  Much easier now for them to begin accepting payment if customers ask for it and they are using a POS system that already supports it!

Too bad there isn't a list of merchants using SoftTouch so that Bitcoin users could then make the suggestion to them to elect to use that as a payment option...
