I'm bit surprised that he's able to carry himself so far and his body is yet supporting him, may be he's inspired by rocky it ain't over I heard no bell, just kidding on a serious note irrespective of the outcome he should retire and not make his body suffer anymore, when you're on the wrong side of age taking such stunts are not nice. It'll be nothing less than a miracle if he wins this.

Agree, Manny should have retired after the Jeff Horn fight. He has nothing to proved and he is a sure Hall Of Famer. If he value his health and life, this should be his last fight.

He did not retire because he think he has still more to offer and that fight was not really convincing. I think this would be the time that Manny will retire if he will get dominated in this fight, but as a true pacman fan, I would still bet on him.

The problem with that kind of mindset is that most of the boxers who are at a crossroads suffers worst defeat. Just look at Roy Jones, how many times he got KTFO before he decided to quit. We don't want to see that happen to Manny. Although what we can do? As fight fans we all wanted to see him fight for a long time but it's not gonna happen. Sooner or later he will retire. I do hope that what ever the outcome of his fight against Lucas Mattyse, he will quit with his health intact and wait for him to be inducted in the Boxing Hall of Fame.

I hope you are right mate because his opponent is one of the hardest hitting during his time. And we all know that his chin has been broken by Marquez already, so if by chance Lucas hits Pacquiao perfectly, it will be very ugly. However, he is really training very hard for this fight because he wants to prove that he can still fight and give his fans a good show so let's see if Manny still has it otherwise, its really time for him to retire.

Pacquiao hits out at 'saboteurs' of Matthysse fightLooks like postponement issues are being thrown out to the upcoming fight between Manny Pacquiao and Lucas Matthysse. Not really sure about the benefits of these thrown issues by some of the people concern but I think it can't distract the focus of 2 fighters while doing their daily regime as part of conditioning in their bout. As far as the latest news is concern, parties involved (not just a simple parties but "big parties") doesn't see any problem why postponement will happened so just let them bring it on and disregard those negative issues.

I still favor pacquiao to win. My reason is, I like the style of playing pacquiao with range blow distance with and with a very fast tempo.

I don't know if you have followed Pacquiao's career because he is not as what he is used to be. Everyone really loves how the way he fights, very fast hands and power specially his left. However, it has started to deteriorate as you can see in his last fight with Jeff Horn, although most of us thinks that he was robbed. He is not as fast and it looks like he is very cautious as well. But just like a real Pacquiao fans, we wanted him to win his fight against Lucas Mattysse and hope he is doesn't give that much damage because his health will really be affected down the line because of boxing.

He become very cautious when he loss with marquez in just a single blow, because of over confidence he since he had won over marquez in the past he thinks he can easily kill him but unfortunately what happens the other way around because before hi did know out marquez he received a single job that rapidly bring him to dead in the ring. Though his speed is good still but hes mind has a small part of hesitation that it wont haplen again, becaus since then hes fans becomes cold to him

His last fight with Jeff Horn was still an impressive to me because at his age, he can still do a close combat to much younger Jeff Horn. I can't recall a boxer who still like fighting on his prime against the much younger opponent (when I say young, like 5 to 7 years younger etc). Maybe someone can give me an example. Though his speed is good still but hes mind has a small part of hesitation that it wont haplen again, becaus since then hes fans becomes cold to him
Yes we noticed that during his next matches after his knockout experience by Marquez. Pacquiao's fighting style was changed although he can't really resists his usual way as we seen how aggressive he is during his fight with Mayweather. Maybe it depends on his opponent because in his last fight with Jeff Horn, I think he noticed that Jeff Horn is more of aggressive fighter too so he matched with it throwing away the defense, a fist to fist fight.

One thing that came to my mind is Chavez Sr. vs Oscar Dela Hoya, but Chavez Sr. is not as quick as Pacquiao though. Yes, the Marquez fight really put a psychological barrier to Pacquiao so to speak. He is not that aggressive and somewhat hesitant because he is afraid that he might be caught by another Hail Mary Punch and put him to sleep again. For the Mayweather fight, they promise to deliver a good fight, however, we all know how defensive Floyd is so Pacquiao trying his best to at least get a good shot at Mayweather that's why he let go of his lefts, unfortunately it wasn't enough.

This is a good observation and I also think that after Marquez fight, all his (Manny) moves are very much calculated to avoid that lucky punch again. His animal instinct inside the ring is not there anymore. The last time we saw a great KO courtesy of Manny is when he fought Ricky Hatton last 2009. But, we have to give him credit too if most of his match now is catch weight, most of his last fights, opponent is bigger and heavier but still he managed to win.

I think this fight is really interesting just like the old fights of Manny Pacquiao.I cannot imagine how Manny manages his time because he's a man full of priorities. He's active in politics, his church and even in sports.I just hope that he will be able to make lot of practices before engaging into this fight and to think that Manny is not getting younger already,so he should be extra careful in all his acts.

It's easy to give prediction but during the actual fight things might change. We shouldn't underestimate him as Manny doesn't do it although when he's on interviews, he's giving his own opinion that he can beat his opponent easily. I guess that's a way to boost his confidence, as a fighter you shouldn't show your enemy that you are frightened against him. I cannot imagine how Manny manages his time because he's a man full of priorities.
He's living his life to the fullest and it only shows on how good he is in managing time but in terms of priorities, that's a lot of activities and hobbies to focus with.

LOL. He is not technically a "white boy" but he is from Argentina. Yes, during his prime Lucas is one of the biggest puncher around 140 lbs and he has a lot of KO throughout his career. So anything can happen. You gotta watch this whiteboy he is quick and strong!!!! 36 k/o's this fight will not last 10 rounds!!!

That's one thing that we love him, he is very down to earth and don't do much trash talking and let his hands do the talk. Such amazement to really see his journey, from a obscure kid back in his town, but lots of dream and now one of the richest sports personalities and a sitting Senator in the Philippines.

Seriously, Manny Pacquiao should just retire he is old and really slow compare before when he really young he moves so fast and quick unlike today he cares all about the money. This is all about the money now, boxing is all about the money. After Manny Pacquiao's last fight it was really rigged probably, they paid Manny Pacquiao to lose so that the young boxer can be a star on his own and even challenged Mayweather the chicken boxer. Boxing now is really like acting now they are being controlled by the management for money, which is why I don't watch boxing anymore.

I remember Senator Manny explaining why he wants to fight and still want's to fight even when he won as a Congressman and a Senator. He once said that his body is looking for it. He felt after a day in the office and all his friends and colleagues left after working, he felt alone. Boxing has been his way of life since he is a teenager so its hard for him to leave the sport. It may look like its all about the money but if its just about money, boxing is not his only source of income now. He has a dormitory building in Manila, a grocery store in Gen San, he has a share on One FC and other good businesses like public transportation.

As far as I can remember every time he gets interviewed, he's giving encouraging words and its obvious to understand that the point is he can beat his enemy. He even told the interviewer that he can beat his opponent (I forgot) in few rounds. He never says it straight but in others words he's confident when he's saying such words.
