The best difference I know is that when the stock markets fall 8% everybody goes crazy.
When crypto markets fall 10-15% is just another day of trading. Crypto markets are way more volatile.

In stock exchange, it was regulated by your government, meaning it is legal and full of papers needed for you to be qualified, and you are paying tax for that but in cryptos  to some country it is not yet legal and no tax imposed on it and the price is not controlled by your government.

Physical stock exchanges has the benefit of government approval on the other hand crypto has the critisism.but it will not last longer. Soon they have to admit that crypto is our future. We all have to accept it.

In cryptocurrency market, you invest in cryptocurrencies or coins. Whereas in a stock market you invest in a business company.
The concept of manipulation is possible in the cryptocurrency market whereas it's nearly impossible in the stock market.

Crypto currency account can be hacked but stock can not be hacked. Secondly you can loss all your money in a bad stock investment but you can not loss your crypto coins if you account is well secured, no matter how low the coin falls, you still have your coin.

Based on my understanding on both are these, stock exchange monitors the fluctuations of Fiat currencies of all nation in the world while xryptos are more fucosed on digital money and the new generations of money through blockchain.

There are tons of differences between the two, however the most commonly used examples are:

● Stock markets and crypto exchanges are both regulated, though the latter is a loosely-regulated one. KYC and AML regulations are what's commonly imposed on crypto exchanges.

● It is illegal in the stock market to do pump and dumps while in crypto, you are free to do so only if your exchange doesn't prohibit such activities. While it is illegal in the stock market to do pump and dumps, it doesn't meant that these things aren't occurring in that market.

● Trading signals works best at stock markets as if every trader knows what direction the price would take whereas in crypto exchanges/markets, coins/assets usually defy and ignore these trading signals, but traders still use it as a guideline however.
