There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I think it's all absolutely repulsive. I can't believe anyone would ever take a sip of any of it and feel any type of refreshment whatsoever. Same goes for all alcohol but there are a few that are bearable. I don't drink no more so it's not my problem.

I can pinpoint it perfectly (also thought it was gross as a kid).

Miller Genuine Draft, my first day after working a landscaping job. +30 C, outside all day, came home and took a beer from my dad.

We fell for each other hard, <3

When I started drinking beer when I'm in college, at first i don't like its taste.
I started "liking" the taste of beer after drinking a very very very cold beer.  Till then, college life was fun because of beer and friends.
Now, I occasionally drink beer with colleagues and some friends. Smiley

After drinking it overseas, I immediately get flash-backs to those great times when I take a sip.

It's quite funny that I had exactly the same experience. I used to hate the taste of beer until I was around 15-16. Now I like it but I never drink more than about a pint of beer.

But do you honestly 'chug' it because you love the taste or because of the way it makes you feel? I very much doubt most people would drink alcohol if it didn't get you drunk. Otherwise I think sales of nonalcoholic beer would be much higher. Personally I have never really liked the taste of beer much or any other alcohol for that matter, but I suppose it has got a bit more palatable as I've grown older, but I'd certainly never chose an alcoholic drink as my drink of choice to quench my thirst. I've only ever really drunk alcohol to get drunk otherwise what's the point? Similarly, I really don't think smokers smoke for the taste, do they?  Smiley
