Does anybody have a list of alt coins that can only be mined with cpu's. I'll be generous and donate some asic to anyone that provide the list. I can search the forum but just don't have the time right now.

Thanks

PrimeCoin, ElaCoin, YaCoin are the ones I know about.

Edit: for a pretty complete list of coins, see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=134179.0.

My list would be short and sweet.

Primecoin, Tenebrix, MemoryCoin, ElaCoin, YaCoin and SifCoin

agreed Primecoin can by GPU mined but is still profitable to CPU mine it, and personally the only one I would mine as Sunny King is a good and active developer.

want to donate ASIC's to me!! that would be great.. you can start by mining on my pool Cheesy http://fuzzypool.mine.bz/

there are GPU miners for almost all CPU coins now, although some barely work any faster than 2 pc's do vs 1

there is no GPU miner for MemoryCoin and scrypt-jane coins at high N levels (YAC,YBC maybe CPR) are more efficiently mined on CPUs

Elacoin is scrypt

(FYI dont use my BTC addy for mining)

A GPU miner for Quark-based coins has been released, which is probably around 10x faster than a fast PC, but it is also still CPU minable.

its about twice as fast as an i7 and only on 68xx series cards, 78xx/79xx series cards its about the same
and only works on solo mining and has a 12% fee

Ah, thanks for the info, I haven't tried the GPU miner myself. In which case, Quark is still very much a CPU coin.

BLC has FPGA miner

Of course I gave you bad advice. Good one is way out of your price range.

Most CPU alt coins can be mined by GPU already. The community created the program too fast...

How many infected PCs does your botnet have?
(Sorry, couldn't resist Smiley)
