NEO is the only altcoin that I think of to be the next rival of Ethereum. This coin gather a huge community in a short period of time and continue to gather more. They call it Chinese Ethereum because the country of origin is in China.Majoriy of the token that is being made is back up with real business one reason you cannot ignore.

NEO is close rival of ETH its the updated version of ETH smart contract technology.NEO development team is highly experienced.If Ban news does not exist for long term and the development team of NEO worked freely then i am damn sure that in coming years NEO would be more popular and adoption rate would be higher than ETH.Currently some ICO are being launched on NEO platform.ETH is also very prominent coin and its community is escalating on daily basis.If NEO in future is emerging with some thing innovative/unique features then surely it can overtake ETH.

I think you should see with your eyes open, nowadays a lot of altcoin have technology like ethereum with their wallet.
but to date, none of the altcion can compete in the price category. Lately, many ico are bringing technology and ideas that are quite useful in the future. but nothing has been proven right yet and runs smoothly in white paper.

I believe ETH can compete with BTC, as more projects are born from ETH smart contracts that still exist.
But ETH takes a long time to be able to compete with BTC.

I would say NEO platform and Cardano (ADA). Neo is the promising project. They have own blockchain.
Cardano also a good choice. They have a new pOS protocol which faster that Ethereum protocol.

I think that NEO and BCH will be alternatives to ETH. Their market prospects are good and worth investing.

In my opinion NEO and NEM are the immediate rival for ETH. They do have a working platform and are gaining more and more clients to use their platform. Have much concentrated developers and are quick in taking action. I'm not following waves but it seem to be a highly unprofessional team from the start. And cardano still have a long way to go.

I think the alternative that competes with ETH is BCH because of the great potential of BCH to compete with ET of course. There are some that are almost identical, but no one can compete fully with ethereum. It is difficult to compete with a well-earned ETH from all existing altcoins.

The closest alternative to the Ethereum is the Ethereum Classic. But at the moment, the Ethereum network has fixed the problem with the speed and cost of transactions and I do not see the need to look for an alternative.

I do not think there is really an alternative because every alternative to Etherum failed their big test

I think for now, there are struggles from coins such as Litecoin and XRP has been tried ever so much but they yet don't come close to Ethereum.

If I am to mention a strong contender that can rival Ethereum, that will be NEO. NEO has a lot of potential benefits over Ethereum especially in the area of smart future economy and strong community backing it. This is not to put down Ethereum but I will give the baton to NEO to take over.

For sure their are a lot of coins that can be a rival to Ethereum. Though it has different value that affects the nation and economy but it not really let doen the economy. Their are lot of coins that might be bring to success of the community. Benefits really needs for everybody.

I guess that Zilliqa can become the coin, that will beat Ethereum. It looks like Zilliqa will be the first project that use sharding and it can be huge achievement.

I think there are very good options that could supplant ethereum in the somewhat distant future, because I still think that ETH has a lot of potential, there are EOS that I don't know much about but it is always in the top 10 and looks pretty solid and we also have NEO that can easily go up at any time as it has many relationships with the Chinese government.
