What is happening here people ? All the ASIC companies were mining monero to death ? and we were waiting to ROI with VEGA 56 AND 64 GPUs

All asics kill coins. Asics manufacturers make a lot of money selling these devices but those who buy them do not have the promised profit. My opinion is a Scam. But the worst thing is that really suffer from this all users of coins. I think that soon we will see mass protection algorithms from the use of asics.

1. creating high end miners with really high hash rates the Asic manufactures
2. putting them to mine for themselves,
3. collecting a lot of coins with low production cost  
4. Pumping these coins
5. Selling - dumping the collected coins for huge profit
6. Releasing for sale the miners to the Public
7. Making huge profits again from the  sales ..

By adding a lot of Hash rate to a coin the selling activity is higher that the investment activity so the coin is going all the way to zero, till the Asic miners will stop to have profit and they will move to the next coin ....

I understand complains against the asics, but . . .

Mining like any other business is a competition for money, and not a charity activity, so bitmain and other companies try to do what all the companies are created for, earn as much money as possible. 

They have a better and more efficient technology, so they can put their miners to mine a coin with rois of few weeks and after that sell this miners to people who want to risk it to buy miners that won`t be profitable, well maybe from an ethical point of view is they are not going to win a prize from the mining comunity, but they are going to earn lot of money, and they have the technology to develop this asics miners.

In 2017 bitmain earned more money than nvidia selling this asic miners, so, they should be doing something good when the market rewards them with big profits.

For gpu miners, most of us, trying to mine at home, at the garage or even to build a little business with some hundreds of gpus mining this technology iasic s a bad news as gpu's have nothing to do against asics.

For a coin, an asic could be good or not, for bitcoin seems that it was ok and in the last 4-5 years bitcoin was mined with asics, and lot of people and business investing milions in asic farms were very happy with the asic technology.

About for example X3, I've checked the bitmain store and they warn about the risks to buy an X3 right now, so if someone wants to risk their money it was warned.

At the end what I want to say is that asic technology is part of the mining business adventure game.

if the coin do have its value,  manufacturers join in and net difficult incarese is a good thing, it won;t kill coin, it will grow them.
This is a very worthless topic. Do remember, things only get good value when more and more people knows it and do things for it. this apply to coin too.

Not going to happen anytime soon. The commulative crypto hasrate is to big and getting only bigger for ASICs to have such a huge impact overall. And there are many many coins, new coming out daily. GPU mining is fine and it will be fine. The current lower earnings are not from ASICS but from market drop. The ethash and equihash have stable incomes for a very very long time. So does Neoscrypt and some others. So don't get paranoid.

Mark my words, GPU mining is here to stay and will keep being profitable for the foreseabale future. The only way that ASICs would kill GPU mining would be if they flooded the market in huge numbers. Due to expensive units and limited suply of them this is simply not going to happen.

I understand the complaining. ASICs suck for GPU coins. I mine ETH and I'm sure they are big in the ETH world too (although no definitive confirmation). And I'm all for a fork of any GPU coin impacted by ASIC mining.

However, I would have acted precisely the same way if I was at the helm at Bitmain or other companies with ASIC CN miners. They figured out how to make money by secretly mining XMR with powerful ASICs, and did it. If you were told, in a free market keep in mind, here is a path to legally make money and a shitload of it, would you do it? Of course, you would. It's the perfect business - no customers and a buttload of cash coming in.

This talk in this discussion about how they should have shared the creation of the miners and that buyers of previous Bitmain miners are entitled to something is the most ludicrous statement here. That's a huge socialist and centralized hypocritical thought. It's a free market, keep in mind.

The best we can do is move on and allow XMR to fork, and hope to God that Vitalik wants to fork if this happens (or is happening) to ETH. Or jump to PoS quicker.

Check the scam !! everyday the profit of X3 miner is dropping $5.... till they will ship it you will earn $10... if it will be compatible with any algo ....
