Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

darkschneider78 - Welcome to the forum. Don't worry I'll try to help you but let me get a few things out of the way before others get to them.

1 - such a noob.
2 - noob do your own research
3 - retard noob, retard question

Ok, now that we have that out of the way...

Your cpu only has 6mb of cache to share for the 4 cores. You might be able to get away with mining monero, sumo or electroneum on 3 of the cores.

As for you video card, does it have 4GB of memory? I am not super familiar with that card. google says somewhere between 15-20 MH/s on Ether. That would only be about $22-$28 per month.

yes a GTX 970 has 4gb of ram,

and yes everything whoismoses stated is mostly true, but in some counties of this world with subsidized electricity, and a general population that makes less than 3 dollars a day, making an Extra $22-$28 per month, is a substantial amount of money,

old World Bank stats, "According to the most recent estimates, in 2013, 10.7 percent of the world’s population lived on less than US$1.90 a day" which is 800 million people give or take a few,

I would add to the list another online calculator that I use regularly:

My experience with calculators of this type is that one should subtract at least 15-20 % of their prediction to get a more realistic estimate. Happy mining anyway!
