Hi everybody,

I woud like to use also Okcoin like exchange. But i hear different problems with withdrawn, and with the chinese regulation, im a litlle afraid if this coud bring problems for the user, when you have btc or altcoin on this exchange.
I already use other diverse exchanges and i just whant to use okcoin like additional exchange.

So can you say what are your experience with this exchange?

Thanks for the feedback!

Ps: my question is not to know other exchanges , but it's to have feedback on this one specialy. Thanks!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

You should move this to "Service Discussion" at the bottom left. You'll get more responses there than you will in Currency Exchange

Thanks for your answers!
I just register at okcoin. But when i look at the orderbook like for bitcoin i dont see it moving a lot. I must said when i look the market for BTC at 24h on Okcoin it's something like 410000$, so i suppose its much more lower then an exchange like Bittrex or Binance..

So i suppose im right, there are much less orders and trades?

Thanks for your answer! i saw they have btc, usd, ltc.. i think they have only 5 currency's if im not wrong? You have other altcoins on Okcoin?
Like i said it seem to be a small exchange?
If you whant to sell for exmeple 1btc, at the curent bidprice, woud it take long to sell? it seem the tradingvolume is very low and so it woud take a long time before you can sell for exemple 1btc.. or im i wrong?

Here is a old thread about OKCoin

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1688021.0. To summarized, its $22K that the OP, supposedly lost, but OKCoin was able to able to give back the money to him, but the problem is that it took them 22 f*** days. So far as per coinmarketcap they ranked miserably at 176, with BTC/LTC/ETH only. So I guess it says it all. They are fairly small exchanges so I wouldn't do my trading with them. I would instead go to more trusted and reliable exchanges. Sorry to burst the bubble dude.

In general, OKCoin has a positive reputation in the market. I haven`t had serious problems with this platform so far, so I think it can be safely used to buy or sell Bitcoin, Ethereum and other popular coins. However, the exchange allows you to focus only on large currencies, little-known new coins are practically not represented there. Therefore, if you put the main emphasis on trading Altcoins, this exchange is unlikely to suit you.

recently, when i login to their website it show me this

OKCoin presently does not serve customers in the following countries/regions/territories: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Crimea, Sudan, Malaysia,Syria, USA [including all USA territories like Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Island, and the US Virgin Islands (St. Croix, St. John and St. Thomas)], Bangladesh, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Kyrgyzstan.

They did not send me any email notice of this changes and I have few crypto there. I cannot do anything trade, withdraw etc.
So, I already email them a support ticket and let see how do I go from there.

Yeah their service sucks and as time passes by they began to give vague explanations and useless compensation, but I'm not sure if this is a concrete evidence to them since it was all written with no links and real concrete evidences but still this is alarming and the best move for this is be catious and don't put in too much money for a try test.

Last time I checked, they support very few coins . By very few coins I mean 5-8 of them which is bad compared to other exchanges which provide a much better trading experience with a number of coins and forks. I've heard they started KCY policies recently, you might want to consider that.
