Is it because of the large number of altcoins?

Its normal for bitcoin to go down but I was worried when I heard that facebook and google will ban the ads for bitcoin. It can definitely affect its price. Imagine you have a product and you want to advertise it but the cheapest way to promote it was banned. It will affect the product since you need to find other ways to promote and most of the time it will cost a lot of money. What I am thinking is that we can take advantage of bitcoin's price now, we can now invest and HODL.

Supply and Demand. There are no demand currently, and obviously there are a lot of investors selling that's why the price is going south. The reason why are investor sell is that there might be hearing FUD, or they are afraid that bitcoin will go down even further and so cut losses, they decided to just sell it even if the market is already bleeding. One news that they are afraid of is the G20 discussions on crypto. It was reported that countries like France and Germany wants the group to have heavy regulations. So this news alone is enough for a lot of investors to panic and eventually offload and sell everything. |

It's normal to go down since many people had withdrawn their coins the last time it gone up but dont worry it's just temporary. Just like in the stock market the big profit is in the long term investment don't worry about the day to day ups and down of the prices coz as what we experience bitcoin will just suddenly go up without any warning...🖕 |

Following can be the reasons: 1) Increasing number of alt coins : This can be a reason for sure. Earlier anyone investing in crypto has to go for bitcoins or just 3-4 more coins. Now there are hundreds of coins and people are moving their bitcoin investments to those coins. They are doing show in hope of quicker results. Thus these coins are taking share of money which would have been invested in bitcoins. 2) Google banning crypto ads: This is another recent news that is affecting the prices negatively. When this is implemented in April 2018, we will see prices dropping even more. |

The value of altcoin never alter the bitcoin price, whereas the price of bitcoin will alter the value of bitcoin. Its all because of government, facebook is banning cryptos so investors are in panic to invest in it. So we should go always through the news whats happening, and we should never sell the bitcoin for low value in panic due to fake news or rumour. So many reasons actually come down why bitcoin price rapidly in down state. Like banning the crypto in some certain countries, and others fuds. These has the big impact the reasons price going down but never panic selling your btc. Yep, there are many reason why the bitcoin price going down rapidly. One of them is the bad news from google that bitcoin or cryptocurrency is going to be banned which makes most of us feel scared and even many bitcoin users are going bitcoin now. what more, the whale is buying a lot of bitcoin to make bitcoin future be in bad way. All we need to do now is don’t believe in some bad news from google, keep an eye on bitcoin information and read it carefully. Don’t be worry too much, bitcoin value will recover soon,so it’s better for holding it. |

There are many reasons including the rumors and bad news. Many holders especially those that have buy bitcoin for long-term have to take profits ! Many of them are selling below the cost price and some of them have to understand that bitcoin still have a great future and now is not the end of it upwards movement. Bitcoin is going to grow again and the bearish market is going to be over.

For me i think because of manipulation of the bad news that's affect to people to sell their bitcoin or altcoin that's why bitcoin price rapidly goes down and that's the reason why many people loss their money in just a snap. Social media is a big influencer they have a power to control what is the run of the market.

There are so many theories that are in the market some are saying it's because the south Korean president deal that is gonna going on in which they are thinking of doing the negotiations with Bitcoins and thus many whales are trying to put the price down... Some are saying even the Japanese government is in all this ...
We have no clear source so as to know what's wrong.

nope mate its because of panic selling when there's a negative news about crypto around the internet. Which is from 'FUD's that Always spreading fake news to intimidate holders so that they can manipulate the price in easy ways which through false news and etc. |

There are a number of reasons. The alt coins are definitely responsible as more people are moving to alt coins and thus the total money invested in crypto is getting divided. There are a lot of other reasons that care causing the decrease in price. For instance, just like Facebook , Google has also announced that will ban crypto related ads from April 2018. There is still one month left but the negatives news is already a source of trouble to people associated with crypto community. Google has done this thing in past for other suspicious projects and they were badly affected. |

Nah, I dont think that it is because of the altcoins. Its all because of numerous FUD news which are mostly causing this thing. Altcoins are actually dependent upon the bitcoin itself and there is no relation between them since the spikes of last year. I mean its reverse connection, where altcoins get hampered a lot when there is alteration in the price, market cap of the bitcoin itself. As the bitcoin goes up alts go up as well as alts down whenever bitcoin is down. however the large number of altcoins are actually getting most of the investors diverted to them thus bitcoin is getting low number of volume. But that is temporary and it will be back to bitcoin once they start seeing bitcoin is spiking in the value. Its just natural you know, since 2009 |

Nope, it's not. It is because of the news about what happened to Mt. I really think that it affected the market demand greatly. I think Mt. Gox is also not the real reason for this one because recently in the news statement they have already mentioned that gox. sell is not responsible for the current drop in the market. But who knows what they are trying to cover up with such news. May be billions of dollars that they are holding? One thing is sure that altcoins are not the reason as they have their own investment portfolio and most of the investors keep both the investment as separate one. If you really think its altcoins then just ask yourself one more question, if bitcoin is down then why altcoins are down at the same time? Isn't that is a thing which we must analyse before our conclusions. |

Well, bitcoin prices are highly dependent on speculation and news that comes on cryptocurrency, like some countries are banning bitcoin, facebook banning cryptocurrency and the latest informatios is google will ban cryptocurrency. Such information will make the investor or bitcoin user sell the bitcoin he has, so the bitcoin price will decrease. So, looks like you should read news other than this forum, I suggest you to read on https://www.ccn.com it will help you.Definitely not! CCN is amongst those who are considered the worst of the worst when it comes to being a reliable news source. They are one of the main sources spreading fud and other rubbish being a massive contributor to fear in the market. The far majority of their articles either have a heavy bias towards a certain crypto currency or service, or it's just blatantly sponsored. If you want to try to get as close as possible to the truth (which some times is even inpossible), try researching every article subject thoroughly by jumping into every possible source of information. NEVER just rely on one party, because they more often than not only show you what they want you to see, especially when it comes to CCN. Yep, and reading only one source results into fear and panic selling. So it is better to read several sources for information so that your doubts will be cleared to a specific cryptocurrency. I guess you're not really into cryptos if you still haven't been swayed by all the FUDs spreading about each coin. Just don't believe everything you read without any conclusive evidence. |

There are a lot of reasons responsible for the Bitcoin volatility altogether. Bitcoin prices may tend to go down when a lot of Holdlers out of ignorance, impatience or for FOU [Fear of Unknown] are dumping Bitcoin. Some of these reasons could be the negative rumor about Bitcoin, Big boys manipulation, its Decentralization where Government are not in support of it and lots more. May I now say that Bitcoin Volatility is a natural phenomenon in this field. The ball is hereby left in your court to play the way it pays you. Just ensure you bite what you can chew.
