A skill that only few have, I'll even say that I personally can't even do this. It's tough to just forgot about all of the money that you've thrown at something and let time do it's course, but if you want to make it in the world of crypto (or any investment) you're going to have to let time to just that.

Don't let FUD and news stories sway you, just let it ride folks. Plus, you shouldn't be investing with any money that you can't lose. So whatever you put into crypto should be accounted as being lost already.

I agree with you.  We have the same principle.  I do not even check what the bitcoin or altcoin price because the market price of cryptos doesn't matter to me.  The reason is because what matter most is its price in the future.  I planned to keep my bitcoins and altcoin for a long period of time.  Its price now is merely became part of the history after 2 or 3 years and I believe that by time, the bitcoin and altcoin price is much higher compared to its value today. 

I also believe that bitcoin is the future of currency so, why should I worry?  There is nothing to worry about because I am very optimistic about bitcoin future.

You probably will become millionare in the next for or five years. People who can get million profit in crypto is only holder and they never see their portofolio before 3 or 4 years. They are investor not flipper. I also did the same thing buy token on ico or buy existing coin which i believe it have a good potential increasing price then i forget it by putting it in my cold / off line wallet ( trezor / ledger nano )

Everyone will agree with you, people that have more wealth obviously will do like you, but not with people that have lees wealth. They will always be haunted by their needed and to fill it they have to sell it.

Btw investor are clever i think like this they've to withdraw the initial capital that they've invested, profit that they got then they'll invest until whenever they want. ($100 for a month then you already got the prof $200, take back your initial capital $100) this will make you more relax and not over think it if the price will fall down significant.

Or take the profit in the time that he decided (a year, 2 years, etc.)

That good idea for holding strategy, dont panic sell and just hold it a few years so no need to worry and not consuming times for make analysis again. But should be any portfolio for short investment and for long term investment, because to make money in cryptocurrency will be more profitable by doing swing trading or day trading. So dont hodl all your coin because that no so good idea because fluctuacion of crypto so high and this is opportunity to make more money by trade it.

Actually that's a great decision for you to hold and did not sell it in this fallen market price, and I'm sure you after a years that you hold your Crypto you will become a millionaire. But remember everything is possible to be happen, if they end or exist  decades.

I remember holding through 2016/2017 and a lot of negative news going around as to how the cryptocurrency world is dead, that those who are holding are just consoling themselves and all that.

Yes, those who panic are always the ones to end up losing out by selling even when they are losing, but those who realized the main reason why they are here usually do not bother, and then I am sure for some of my portfolios that I have been holding till date since that time, anyone who has been in the system for a while or understands the prices of most of these top coins back then would know what most of them are worth now.

When the market goes down and goes down quickly, the best way is not to look at it now as it will make you worse. But do not worry calmly do not look at it, waiting for positive feedback from the market. When the market goes up again, the value that you own will return.

I just hope a lot of people do think like this, then maybe we could be seeing a better value than what it is now.
But the problem is the proportion is unbalance, a larger part of weak hands is at loose and they will be eliminated with this dips that is happening. Let us just see the upcoming days into what will happen with the crypto world.

If everyone can think like this, then the crypto world would have gotten better than it is now. However, a lot of people are only getting greedy without even bothering about what the future of the technology holds, but I do not blame them since no one wants to even read this days and all they want to do is make money. Anyone who understands that the cryptocurrency world is here to stay with a lot of future for the coins that deserves it, they will not bother about the prices they are even seeing now.

must think positive when it comes to investment and don't so hasty if you don't want to lose some of your money from it. And actually  being so worried about your money is not a good idea because that is the common reason why people always panic selling. So bear in mind to invest or trade a money that you can afford to lose to prevent regrets , and  always keep calm and let your money play the volatility of the market.

That good decision, when your purpose to buy crypto for long term investment just left and forget about it in a few years. But if you aiming to trade it in short times, when you dont know which is the bottom price and down trend continue, you have to cut loss it and buy back at lower price. This is depend on times , skilled ans purpose to buy crypto. Each has different level of risk and different profit.

IF you have only Eth or BTC this is right strategy, I think. Even official sources prognose that BTC only will grow in price.  But another less popular cryptocoins can just die in a few years, if you have some of them on your wallet.

Most people bought bitcoin at more than $10.000, if we assume that they still hold, they are still at loss. If they have traded it, they are probably at more loss now.

How can you know what most people paid for their coins? If  most bought at over 10k then we would still be at 10k, because I don't believe that most people hold their money during a crash. Most people sell, that's why there is a crash in the first place. When the buy and sell orders are in balance the price remains steady, that's the most basic statistics of the market.
You can't predict how many people are behind the exchange orders. It can be 1 person buying 1k coins, or 1000 people buying 1 coin each.

If we take a look at the prices every few minutes, hour or a day, we would end up getting stressed and worried instead of being productive. It is why the best thing for us is to keep our day jobs or maintain our business and do crypto part-time. It is better to forget it for a while while we are on a bearish market.
