Goodwill. Holding our coins for a couple of years may produce very good returns. The question is, can we restrain ourselves in that long period of time? especially when every day we are still struggling with the crypto world that will inevitably give us information indirectly to the price movement of coins that we hold. Hiding your portfolio is one way of getting safe from the scammers or even in real life because a lot of people will try to do bad things to you just to get that money. You don't need to tell anyone about your portfolio because the most important things is you make money. The price will continue to go higher this year and better to stay safe so your hard work will be worth it.

but I can say that I will definitely sell at $100k, just like I sold at $1000, $2000, .... selling is actually a good thing in my opinion, just as good as buying is. the key is knowing when and how much to sell. for example if I have 10 bitcoin I am not going to sell all of it just because price has gone up to $100k or whatever else. I sell a little like 0.01 bitcoin just to enjoy the profit or get my hands dirty with some speculation and trading.

As matter of fact, you should just check out your portfolio when market actually goes up by 10x at every year end or so. I mean if you are studying then you will do come to know that every year end there is cyclic changes in the crypto currencies and almost all of them are going upwards. Thus they make this investment portfolio go upwards as well. If you really want to be good holder then thats the best way to do it but also keeping track of the same and making realistic moves in between is also good thing.

Your thread sounds like you really do care about the price because if you did not, you would not have posted this thread telling us you no longer check the price. I check the price everyday and I am not worried about it because I believe in bitcoin. It has just become a habit. And yes, you should continue to hold and never lose patience because the latter is the only one that will gain you profit. Good luck, mate!

I guest you are holding etherium when the price is still at below 100$ it seems like you have a very good spirit there. Well, that was your decision and we realy apreciate that one. But if for me i will take my capital and try to invest in some a good potencial coins too in the market.

it's good that I'm happy to hear it from people who always complain that prices go down after buying and rising prices down after selling.
remembering goals is a good thing, but you also have to be prepared for the risks that will occur because in each investment risk.

It is very normal in bitcoin, price use to rise and fall but you will not have to care about falling price, just hold with patience you will earn very high, now there are millions of people who are interested in bitcoin, no need to be worry just fix you aim before you get in crypt then focus on your goal and no need to listen to the false news, have patience and hold with faith that bitcoin has potential to recover its price very fast., be ready to face everything that happens in crypto currency.

It is always funny to actually get to see people being swayed in this market when they should have at least been able to learn from those who have been holding for a while now. In actual we are not limited with the thinking , every person in this world has his own thinking and own stretagy of understanding about new new things .
Now here many people are only seeing over the price of the coin only whether in how much time of interval they will make money and also
They will sell that particular coin for profit and again they will see for another coin .
But opposite of this fee people are just seeing that how much total amount in Fiat value was before Investment and how much they made from the Investment  that gives them understanding that how much need to make perfect analysis and do work for the better result .

My thoughts are similar to yours. My investments in criptos are for long term, at least 5 years.
I didn't sell even on the high we had on December.
I'm not saying it's the best strategy, but as I invested only money that I will not use or need, I'll keep my strategy.

That is the right thing to do to just keep calm and just keep what you have right now, everyone of us will finally change our life if we will just continue to hold it and have it for a long time, so it is a perfect strategy to have at least save and hold coins that has the potential to grow.

Just be on yourself only for what are may real happen or what are the present situation of your portfolio just do your best on making money.

The reason why a lot of people cannot behave like the OP is because they got greedy and jumped into the market when it was increasing rapidly, only to start panicking and selling at loss rather than realizing their mistakes and buying more at dip to cover up for the future. Prices are a little bit higher than they were when you made this post but i literally have the same mentality that you do.  I've been occupying myself a lot more recently and because of it ive just stopped caring about checking the price constantly.  This gives me a lot more peace of mind and help me do the important stuff i need to do throughout the day.

It is rare to see such a sensible approach. Now it is impossible to predict how the market will develop in the next 5-7 years. It is not ruled out that crypto will get legal status around the world and your portfolio will grow hundreds times.

That is the attitude of a person that is willing to hold for the long term, even if I still watch the price and I like to see the direction the price of bitcoin and other coins are taking at the same time it is inconsequential for me, I have no plans to sell, I am going to hold at least until the next halving which is going to happen in 2020, but I may still hold for longer depending on how much bitcoin I have at the time and how much I need it.

You can see that in the past few days there has been a slight recovery, but I think you should not be subjective. It can be seen that the price increase is only in the short term, in long term, bitcoin prices are still in the cycle. So you should not expect too much in any coin. You should plan your trade now so that you can minimize the risk of trade.
