Built this one because I was bored and wanted to see what I could do with an old Dell Vostro 260s that I had given to me.

It sports an Intel 2500k core i5 CPU, 4 gigs of ram, and 4 passive cooled nVidia GT 1030 graphics cards ran on a 500watt EVGA power supply. It is being cooled by 4 cougar fans... not that I needed them, but, might as well run it cooler then stock.

Profitability of course, is not very much. As of today I am seeing about 12 cents on the CPU, and 13 cents on each of the graphics cards... but. What I plan on doing, is getting some solar panels, mounting it on my garage roof, and let it draw in crypto for free using solar. Tested this rig running full blast with a Kill-A-Watt and showed I was only drawing 183 watts.

Total cost of the project came in at under $400 since I had the computer given to me. All I had to purchase was power supply, graphics cards, frame and risers. Found them all fairly cheap on eBay and Amazon. Had I known at the time it would only pull 183 watts, I probably would have went with a cheaper power supply, but the EVGA has a graphics card plug so that I can change out 1 of the GPU's for something better later on.
