After reading several topics about how bitcoin is going down and how people are getting out it just crossed trough my mind that FUD has started to shake weak hands(again) and that in next few days bitcoin really might start going up.

Anyone share the same opinion?

So what if it was actually smart money who got out and shorted this crap and only the dumb newbies are still long... Did you ever consider that possibility?

This is speculation section so it can be baseless anyway, however bitcoin drops were due to continuous news, it will only depend on us if we believe them that much.

We all hate FUD but this is very common in different market places. They have their own intention and purpose on why they are doing this.

I don't hate fud, because that's not the core problem here. The core problem is the people here who are so easily tricked into believing something that isn't true. A lot people believe that Bitcoin might become worthless overnight, which perfectly indicates what kind of people we are dealing with here. It also makes you understand better why they keep selling their coins at a loss, because in their mind if they don't sell right now, they potentially might lose everything. Education is key in every market, and if people aren't willing to educate themselves, they will always suffer from the same problems, and thus keep losing money. Buy high, sell low, buy high, sell low -- it's straight capital destruction.

That's the result due to those FUDs that were spread through the web and that's what FUDs for.  They care keep on pushing it so those newbies will be tricked and they will believed that they are reading a legit news, a legit speculation but they never noticed that a little by little they get those feelings that are starting to make them doubt.

Those who believe the fakes and sells your coins will fall victim to the whales. I am sure that the price of bitcoin will go up sharply and they will definitely lose their money. But I do not pity them. They themselves to blame. It seems to me that bitcoin will gradually leave the speculators and their places will be occupied by ideological supporters. This can completely change the behavior of bitcoin.

I can't blame them if they are buying the FUD most of them are new and they are still weak handlers so they are buying the news and selling their coins and that news are fake(FUD). I can't wait to see that time that bitcoin will have that type of behavior where supporters are helping each other and if there are bad news came out, no one will believe.

This downward movement is heavean for good traders, even if we are in a bear market, short term profits possibilities are insane during this times, we will have green days, and even though we might not see the december highs for a while, it might be a good time for all of us to increase our trading skills. Remember, people get rich during recessions

 People get rich buying low, and selling high, do that a few times successfully and you've multiplied your money. But when the market is trading so harshly like it is now, it is very easy to catch the top of a new dip, and then be screwed.

It is something that is hard to do in the crypto community and that's the challenge that every crypto enthusiast face. Not of use can exactly predict how the market will go or when is the right time to buy low and sell high so in result, we tend to wait more and see how the price will go but in the end it don't meet our expectations ending up with regrets of not buying when we have the chance to.

In my observation, I think these FUD's can affect in some ways. As we know most of the members here own coins, once they sell a slight downward movement is felt.

In my observation, I think these FUD's can affect in some ways. As we know most of the members here own coins, once they sell a slight downward movement is felt.

the effects of FUD is always secondary to other stuff. that is why when some idiot starts some random bullshit topic about bitcoin, nothing changes and price continues on as it was before.
the FUD is only effective in a negative way when there is a dump going on and the timing of the FUD needs to also be good so that it intensifies the panic sell that is already going on because of the dump that was started before the FUD.

Bitcoin would go up or fall down further, that, time will tell. But what to focus on right now is its current value. The best time if not then definitely a good time to invest in bitcoin rather than predicting and waiting for the future and missing this golden opportunity. So just go for it, buy bitcoins if you want to and your current financial condition allows you to and you won't be needing the invested cash anytime soon for a really long time.

Currently you should not worry about FUD. FUD was a dangerous beast to stay away from till 2017 Dec.
Now you should be afraid of FOMO. FOMO is the beast that will probably get the majority of you soon, while FUD will actually save some poor lost souls. Different times and different dangers, that should all be faced with patience and sobriety.

It is so difficult to forecast the price of bitcoin due to its unique behavior, because unlike most institutional markets, it tends to react in a particularly volatile way to the rumor mill that usually spreads unreliable media, and disobeys all rules previously known on technical and fundamental analysis.

And this is especially paradoxical because the technology involved in cryptocurrencies today is better than ever, but for investors this seems absolutely irrelevant.

All you have to do is just ignore those FUDs and stop talking about them. The more you talk about the FUDs or the negative news the more FUDs you will start spreading unknowingly. The best thing to do is encourage people to buy more during FUDs (as the price will be less and can be considered as discounted) and help support the price.

it's a good idea, FUD was spread because of fear felt by someone and finally they spread the information to other people to consider their assets between hold and sell. However, if we are ignoring incorrect information (FUD) then the person who spreads the information will feel tired and until he is desperate. Traders are simply just playing by the books and strategies, and there is so little impact they can have when it comes to using FUD to drop down the prices and the value of bitcoin.

However, if you want to talk about the whale traders anyway, for sure, this is one thing they will always derive pleasure doing as long as the market remains speculative, and for that reason, their target is usually the weak hands and as long as it is a speculative market, believe it or not, there will always be weak hands and that is like the category of those who simply do not understand why they should be investing in a market and all they care about is fast profit and getting rich quick.
