Recovering from surgery to repair an aortic aneyrysm, that's how! Posting from the hospital as a mater or fact! I am ding fine although I don't recommend this procedure just for recreaion! Prognosis is great and the drugs ae wonderful!    urgery was Thursday morning anad these pics were taken sunday aternon, so there is still a lot of abdominal bloating, which hurts like Hell but I will sure have a sexy sca to show the girls! By the way, my Doctors and Nurses are all fantastic and I am receivning the kind of personal care that I thought no longer existed! Be back at work in a few days but as you might well imagine, I will be on very light duty for some t ime. This surgery was also why I delayed the introduction of my new programs, but we'll get there in a week or so! You all take care now and if you don't smoke, don't start. If you do smoke, stop. Now! Sure! Soon as I can stay stright enough for serious photoediting, I'll get right in there and reamove possibly offensive NSW etc stuff. In the meantime, I'll just concentrae on getting wel and thank you for your concern. |

Maybe use patches or gum aswel? For how long have you been smoking?
I assure you that I have quit! Had my last ciggy 12 hrs before entering hospitial. Was asleep for almost 2 days following surgery and when I awoke, I found out that the kind folks hadfixed me up with a nicotine patch to help withdrawal. I am still using them and will until the last rel craving is gone. What really bothers me though is wtaaching some guy or gal in a movie on TV lighting up and you know, in those old movies, damn ner everyone smoked! LOL! Me no more smoke'em and you cannot believe how much better I feel after 42 yeas of inhaling shit! |

Haha I can relate to that. When I quit smoking it looked like I was the only non-smoking person.
Yeah, there wasa Bogie mmovis on and he looked so good smoking. Of course that's wht killed him, you know! At any rae my at rest oxygenation is 93-94%, excercise up to 97%, BP holding at 129/65 or ess ands I don't think I've had numbers like that since I was twelve! Just put on my own socks, jeans and a pair of heavy-assed Doc Martens to practaice walking under more "real-world-like" conditions. I think those Docs must weigh about 4 lbs each! LOL! May not have to go to rehab but if they try to make me go to reab, I'll, go, go, go! I want to go through this shit only ONCE! thank you al for you support! P.S.: sorry for the typos; I don't have the right glasses here with me and my zoom function is apparently FUBARed on the external keyboard, so Ima looking a that tiny-assed laptop monitor! |

No need for rehab. All you need for quiting is a good reason. A lot of people quit smoking with an 'I'll try' attitude. That doesn't work.
Yeah on the smoking thing but the rehab offer was for physical rehab. My Drs decided I didn't need it but I wonder...........I found my own "rehab" very quickly in the form of the staris, which damned near killed me the first few days. Still running on nearly empty, so not going to be posting much for a few days. Thank you all for your cocvern. |

Sorry for having been gone for a while. Lots of personal stuff has been going on but that is pretty much over now and I am doing well. Was down to 151 lbs (68 kg) there for a while, so at 6' 3" (191 cm) I was looking pretty funny but now that I am gaining some weight back, the scar is hurting like Hell because it is stretching! YIKES! Vodka seems to be the solution as I don't do well with pain meds! Anyway, here is the photo update: Dog:  Scar:  HAHAHAHAHAHA! Now you know the difference between a dog and a scar!
