There might be other differences between cold wallet and hot wallet and contribution are welcome. I feel this will help those that are new to crypto, most especially the newbies and other crypto enthusiasts.
Accounts majorly within digital asset exchanges are know to have hot wallets. Therefore HOT wallets are wallets that are directly connected to the internet. Therefore, all software wallets are hot wallets because they are directly connected to the internet.
While cold wallets are offline wallets. Examples of cold wallets are hardware wallets, which are Trezor , Ledger Nano and Keepkey. There might be others, but these are the ones i know of.
