According to the report by Sky News Twitter might be next: https://coincodex.com/article/1404/is-twitter-the-next-platform-to-ban-cryptocurrency-ads/I personally think that this is just a phase until they learn to filter out scams which is good. There's way too much scams going on, I see a lot of ads where you can see that it's an obvious scam (like get 200% Gain Daily, earn 0.1 BTC daily or whatever). Crypto will have the more healthy environment.

Yea. I thinking same with you, so many crime activity under ICO at this time, and I hope after google and facebook banned crypto ads, crypto world will be better, because they minimize fraud by naughty people under ICO project, they put ads at google and facebook to make it sure about their project, to be investors get hooked to invest, but actually that ICO are scam. So after google and facebook banned crypto ads, this automatically minimize fraud under ICO, and another side, Google and facebook keep their good company name still good. and I think twitter do same like google and facebook do.

Twitter is a San Francisco company scared of the government, so yes they will cave and ban crypto IMHO.

Yes, without a doubt. As a good amount of people are going to complain that they're getting scammed from 'crypto' ads, which are pretty much all scams on social media (as they're targetting the easiest people to scam and the most vulnerable)
So yes, they're going to ban crypto if they have't done it already.

Better, the crypto environment needs healthy growth away from capitalist scenarios. Amazon, google, facebook, twitter and others, represent the obstacle that we are defeating. It is clear that they banned us. We are stronger because we are a community. Hödl

They are not thinking about filtering it but their solution to stop those advertisement with those scams is through complete pull out of crypto ads. Expect that it will come next, twitter. I see a lot of ads where you can see that it's an obvious scam (like get 200% Gain Daily, earn 0.1 BTC daily or whatever).
They are obvious scam, ponzi.

If the ICO Scam cases dont reduce I think that twitter will also ban crypto ads because they know how many people using twitter to advertise their ICO, projects. So if the scam cases dont reduce sooner or later crypto ads will be banned from twitter.

I do not see anything terrible in the fact that such giants as google, Facebook and Twitter will refuse to advertise ICO. The demand will always find supply. For example on our forum. The people themselves are to blame for that fall into the hands of fraudsters. How can you believe promises to make $ 200 or $ 1000 a day effortlessly?

Makes sense you gotta protect your brand after all. And especially when so many of these postings and advertisements end of being scams that only looks really bad on Twitter, Facebook, and whoever else is a giant company. They should know better and until the space is regulated I think they will all back off for a while.

Banning cryptocurrency ads doesn't make sense after all, but if all these ad networks and any famous social media campaigns will ban ICO advertising then that's much better. ICO is the root of this downside and all negative aspects of cryptocurrency, it's not even a legal way of fundraising, mostly they make it for there own purpose only and to scam people. Filtering all ICO ads from legit crypto services ads like exchanges will be a good choice.

I agree with the author. Bitcoin and crypto currency are more useful than harm. Simply scammers also use different schemes of deception. Here, Facebook and Twitter started cleaning

I don't think this would be a permanent thing. I mean if Twitter bans cryptocurrency ads it wouldn't stop people from joining twitter ad-campaigns created by ICO makers, and I think that is a more effective way as some twitter campaign members have thousands of followers in their website. So as Facebook campaigns can do to FB. Pretty soon this websites will see that they are losing a certain portion of revenue stream as they really well know what users they can target for this crypto related ads.

Just in time, i saw the news about that and twitter eventually blocks all advertisement of ICO or any crypto currency related advertisement. This move followed the decisions of the top one and top two online advertisers. I hope this will not block accounts that have connection with ICO or campaign that uses twitter to disseminate information to the online community. However, even though the two giants block advertising about crypto still accounts with or used to advertise crypto related project was not ban or deactivate.

Here's the article from sky news https://news.sky.com/story/twitter-to-prohibit-range-of-cryptocurrency-ads-11293387It's fully understandable if they are going to ban ICO advertisement but to prohibit almost all the platforms, services and websites correlated in the cryptocurrency is questionable most of them are wallets, trading platforms, exchanges etc. Based on them there will be an exception to the permission of the promotion hoping to exempt those legit and authentic platforms, it is also questionable that they going for a full blast ban yet some silly scams and gimmicks outside cryptocurrency allowed to infest our surfing experience around the web?

This will be a good idea for everyone, it's for the environment and community of bitcoin and other ico, and to prevent scams project and scams ads that always appear when you log your social media account. But this will be not good for bounty hunters, because facebook ban all the ads, although bounty hunters do their job but when someone caught you your facebook account will be ban. So this will not be a good idea for the bounty hunters.

Twitter is already facing issues related to profitability and it does not look in a position to cut down on big advertisers. We will have to wait for a official response from Twitter regarding this to get a clear picture.
