According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I am a thousand miles away. Will there be video after the event? I'd be very interested in hearing what has transpired in Mr Yago's project since his talk at the Bitcoin 2013 conference.

Did he mention any progress in the last half-year or so? I think his org was in discussions with a certain unnamed country, pursuant to being a host for their economic freezone. Do we know where this is yet?
