Hi,
get-bitcoin.com is a new website.  I decided to give it a try,
and was not disappointed.  I mailed them my prepaid credit-card,
and they sent me my bitcoins a couple days later.
I just wanted to give my positive feedback here...
Cheers,
ME

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

You mailed them the card and waited a few days for bitcoin?

That sounds absurd.

@smalleyster: why is that absurd?  I was looking for a place that would accept prepaid credit cards virtually, but I could not find any.
These guys accept it but require the phyical card to be mailed.  I LOLed at that form of acceptance at first, but then conceded,
since they explained that it would take 6 months of delay to ensure against a chargeback unless they physically had the card.
It took a couple days to reach them in the mail.

@dansko: yeah i know it sounds like that, but unless people post their experiences with these exchanges here, no one will
ever be able to tell which ones are reliable and which ones arent.  I got lucky with the first two I picked, and I chose to post
about them here, for your benefit.

I just tried to use them yesterday, they responded to my first email and have since ignored me. I used a cash deposit at a bank so it should be quick.  Hope they get back to me soon.  Being almost 36 hours and still nothing

*edit  The coins showed up, so they are legit but took a couple days, I will use again

I've made over $7000 in deposits with Get-Bitcoin in the last year and they have been flawless in their transactions and communications.

When ever a rare issue did arise it was usually with their deposit options and I switched to cash or moneyorder until my favorite Bank Of America deposit option returned.

It has now returned and with even more options from banks to 7-11. Who could ask for more. Hell, even WallyMart is in the mix with a one hour turn around.

These guys run a top shelf service IMHO. In my case they always make the purchaser's options and service foremost in their business practices.

Thank you Get-Bitcoin.

My first order with GetBitcoin went ok but slow.

My second order: after 3 weeks of no reply, I asked for status.  They said they never received a cashiers check for the order.  They asked me for the check serial number.  I gave it ti them.  They seemed to acknowledge receipt of the check.  That was 2 weeks ago and I'm still waiting.  Any inquiries are met with a reply that "my supervisor has not signed off on it yet".  It's now been over a month.  I'll get my money back from the bank that issued the check but it's either outright fraud or incredibly screwed up.  DO NOT USE GETBITCOIN!!!!!!!
