I am not gonna be doing this exclusively for bitcoin mining ,but just on the side when I am not doing anything. How many coins can I expect in a week of maybe 8  hours of mining a day with 6850/6790 roughly?

Not many,
With my overclocked 6850 im getting 277Mhash/s which works out to 0.2 BTC per 24hours at current difficulty.
Stock clocked 6850 only gets about 208Mhash/s

It sounds like you are trying to make a profit to offset the price of the card. Im not a miner but from what I understand you are going to need to factor in electricity usage and difficulty increase. It may actually hurt you to mine.

I think you misunderstand. I am a gamer at heart so I would have payed for the card regardless so this is just a little bonus on the side. I only started looking into bitcoins on Saturday lol

I'd recommend looking at some of the screen saver miners and join a PPS (pay per share) pool.  If you live in area that has cheap electricity and/or you run during off peak hours you'll stat getting a small return. The card is worth about 12 bit coins at the current rate so you might recoup your card in 3 or 4 months.. that's assuming you run your PC as a miner and only take it off mining to game.

I'd also recommend not getting the XFX 6850 if you plan on over clocking
