I dont get your logic. My logic says that printing tether should boost Bitcoin price.  They buy bitcoin or other alts with this tether.  A lot of tether was printed at end of 2017 when price of Bitcoin was hyperbolic.

Tether prints when people deposit money into Bitfinex's exchange account and they in turn issue them tether. So it could mean that people who have been on the sidelines are jumping back in.

if you were a genuine whale would you really use a system that signals your intentions that's watched like a hawk by hundreds or thousands of people? and is there a chart following tether issuance and price? it all seems a little too easy to me.

i'm relieved it's still above ground and more info is coming out about its banks which means real money exists, but tether will always be a mystery to me.

People need to stop about the tether fud, if tether is not a legit company how can they keep printing money like that. I think Tether do really have lots of money to back them up.

It should be a good thing for BTC. Right?

That, or some fud might be emerging soon. I still don't like keeping my money in tether, but it's better than ETH with that price drop.

yes, this will likely cause the market to go green. for tether fud though, i think they should be fine if they can continue to issue new tether despite subpoena in the US. Bitfinex has a multi-billion business that is generating them millions every day. They wouldn't risk it for something like this although their timing is very very suspicious.

Nice information. This may be the cause why bitcoin is on the rally again. USD Tether is printing again. 12,000 price break is all i wanted within this  month of march 2018. i hope tether will do that.

I do not think Tether has any influence on Bitcoin price. It's just a rumor. Tether has no power to influence the price of Bitcoin.
