I have noticed that many investors are buying during ICO but not because of long term or they want the project.
The main reason and spirit why ICO's are being done to support the goal and aim of that project is becoming gone. That's why ICO's now are becoming a way to make devs more money by just creating ideas, ideas that aren't going to be executed after collecting much money.

In my opinion, I would consider the potential of the project before considering its price. Why?
- First: A potential ICO will give you a huge profit, with very little loss. And if we care about its price, the market will go up and down every day will lead to losses.
- Second: If the current ICO price is not high, but due to good potential, in a short time, the market will discover and push its price higher than its real value.

For me, you need to consider first the potential of the project (ICO) before its price! We know that with Great ICO will give us a huge earning! And if we only consider the price usually it will only leads into a scam and it will only gives us regrets

I have noticed that many investors are buying during ICO but not because of long term or they want the project. They immediately sell their coin/token when the price triple or even 400% gain and find another ICO again. This is one reason why  the price of coin/token drop or sometimes below ICO. They do not think about its use in the future and it is possible that the value is higher.

this are the short term investor/trader we cannot blsme them since each of us has its own trading strategy. but for me I look for the potential of project rather than its price cause if a coin has a solid project eventually price will follow.

You need to evaluate both factors, and take into account why you came to the crypto currency: make money or develop the crypto industry.
Most came to the crypto world for money, so it's enough for them to do a few "X" from the price on the project and forget about it.

This is just my opinion, but I think some  investors are investing just to earn, amd some are because they are believing in that project. I am one of those who jusst want to earn. I'll buy coins and sell them immediately if I think I earned enough or the price satisfies me to sell. I think that is one of the reason why investors are dumping they're coins as soon as the coin reaches a high price.

In my opinion, it seems your right. Mostly people investing in ico are that type of mindset as they are in hurry to sell their tokens once it hits the exchanges. Maybe they are not confident to wait it longer as the chances are it might goes to zero once the developer dumps their coins.

right! The market is used almost entirely by 90% only for speculation and profit and not for the use of the product itself. That's how much you really use coins for the purpose from the list of coins that you have? The crypt for the majority is a digital asset that should bring profit.

I used to look only at the prospects of the project.  And it was several times that I bought coins at a very unprofitable price.  Therefore, it is important to look not only at prospects but also at a cost.  And lately, it is more profitable to buy on the stock exchange, and not on the ICO.

of course, investors are looking for potential ICOs, one of the objectives is to make a profit, sometimes they do not just wait for the price to 400%, the price goes up a bit they usually sell it straight away. not wasting the opportunity to gain profit (opportunist).

i buying coins based on the project, looking for promising project is not easy and the price is determined how much grow will be. sometimes choosing the coin with low price ( under 1 dollar) is really best option cause im expecting great return and great grow from the coins. Many things need to be considered such as the volume and the supply.

Because they do not know about the project or they feel that the triple capital investment is a big bargain. If they keep a long penny they will lose. Or they can use the money they have earned to invest in another project.

it is better if you will look in the potential of the project if you are looking for the long term holding rather than looking for its price because base on my experience after the ICO and if it listed in the exchange the price is too low so it is better to look into the project potential rather than looking for a price .

First of all, I look at the prospects of the project, how well it will develop in the future, what its idea is and how much this idea is useful for society. The price here does not matter much. If the project is bad and nobody needs it, then even a low token price will cause this token to fall and depreciate vseravno. Of course, there are many who buy tokens and after their multiple price increase in the market they are sold and move on to the next ICO project. The rate is only for quick profits, not for the long term.

I prefer to look for a project rather than checking prices because at the end if the project is successful then comes the profit,, what if the price is good but it didn't succeed,, much better if we look for a project first.

At ICO, the guys want to cut down money quickly, and about the future of which you talk, they do not think, believe me, tokens are just the same cryptocurrency that is really likely not to be used.

I support those investors.
If you made 300%/400% on the project without it producing anything, then the outcome would be insta sell, if there's no reason for that sudden increase in price, then there's no reason to keep holding the investment.
Anyway, looking at the potential of the project also means to look at the price, as if the project's total market cap is high then the potential growth of the project goes down.
You should consider everything while doing such a risky investment.

Yes, I look their potential or what is the future on their project. I will look one their social media if many people follow their page, so it's means the community trust them and they are interested in that campaign.

It depends on the project if the project really has a potential then an investor may hold his coins until he sees a perfect exit point, but if the project is a shit then the investor will sell he's coin as soon as there's a profit.

This is due to the profit target of each person, some people set a goal of 200% of people 500% again, so when the desired level they will sell. In addition, many people earn cash from bounty programs. They do not have to invest capital so they will take profits as soon as they are profitable.
