According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I know you can start trying by creating tokens by using templates and modifying it, try lurking in the Development board, you might find many useful pieces of information.  Grin

BTC

Hmmm.....!

Development in blockchain.....

This seems a like a general question. You got to be more specific about what your needs are. As we all know, the blockchain technology is huge right now. You got to know where you want to start. This could vary from building a wallet service for an existing blockchain to creating your own blockchain. More importantly, You got to understand how the blockchain technology works at a low level.

Please try to be more specific so that more people can help you out!

1 - Search better
2 - Yes it is possible to transact Bitcoin without a exchange. If fact, Bitcoin is meant to be used as standalone, so you can create a new address pair, setup a wallet and transact as much as you want.
3 - You can't send information to the Bitcoin Chain as such. It is meant to store transactions. Some alts and tokens can store information.
4 - There are many developers tools. Learning to program or develop could potentially be a lifetime effort.

First decide if you want to develop for the Bitcoin Chain or develop for products/services for the Bitcoin community. I would say developing products/websites for the community would be much easier as I think you are still a newbie in development.
