Tell us which coin and answer an optional question:
Why are you mining this coin for more than 1 month?

The only coins I have mined consistently for over a month are ZEC and then auto converting whatever is most profitable into LTC. I believe in these two project this have spent most of my time accumulating a pile of both. My other rigs I like to bounce around a few times a month in order to diversify my holding as much as possible in the event something takes off. The other coin I am approaching a month mining in MNX. It’s managed to hold its value through much of the market dip and also pays daily, weekly, or monthly interest if you park it in your wallet. While it’s not much,  currently .24% a day, it’s been a nice boost.  The network difficulty has grown a lot of the past month where it’s fallen down to the levels of most coins, but still a project I will keep supporting till the end of March.

I can see this thread getting a bit out of hand if people do not explain why they have been mining the coins they have been, or what kind of returns they've been seeing, what kind of rig they're working with or what kind of hashrate they're achieving. There is just so much missing from the replies within this thread, in my opinion.

Equihash, ZEC, Lyra have been extraordinarily reliable in my opinion in terms of returns for the past few months at least. I've heard people are loving ZEC and it has been this way for a good while now. On simple 1-5 GPU mining rigs, using NiceHash or independent miners alike.

I was mining Eth for maybe 6 months straight. Got my payout and did some checking. I have some older cards and I switched them all over to Btg since they get a decent return on it. Will take the earnings and buy Eth & Ltc.

Swissboo -

To be honest profitability overall is trending down but I am not discouraged. Last I checked each card is averaging $.55 a day which means I am still well ahead of electrical cost.

plus if it rises to the level of 2x the value in a year or two. you are more profitable long hall. I see the advantages here

I hope you got your payout before ETH dropped like a rock. I'm not normally one to criticize a coin, but ETH disappointed me a little bit with it's low support levels. I am pretty uneducated about mining technicalities, I'm quite the neadrathal in this area, but I wonder if the difficult of ETH mining reduces in correlation to the price. In other words, have ETH mining profits plummeted with the price or has it remained consistent? I know it is weird when it comes down to measuring these kinds of things, but if it is easier I am wondering if your returns for ETH/USD have differed while the price has been falling and to what degree?
