Hello, i did my first Bitcoin transaction.

I paid 11€ and i had 105 in my wallet, after this i got only 85€ ?

What happend?

You likely didn't account for the fees. Depending on your transaction size, your fees could be pretty big.

If that's not the case, when did you make the transaction? Bitcoins should be measured in Bitcoin and not in fiat. Did your Bitcoin (not fiat) decrease more than expected? Can you post the transaction ID of the transaction that you have made?

You sent bitcoin. It would be more interesting talking using bitcoin values, not euros.
Also, giving your transaction id would be helpful.

You probably already know this, but perhaps to state the obvious... Bitcoin value changes very quickly, even in the space of hours. In the past month alone, we've seen swings of almost 50%, so it's very likely you bought your coins at a price about 10% higher than it is right now. Post your wallet address if you want/can, someone here should be able to pinpoint what happened.

Yup. Am pretty sure the balance would tally, if kept strictly in units of Bitcoin.

What wallet are you using? and at what rate do you buy bitcoin? there are some very common possibilities.
1. Maybe you buy bitcoin when the price is high and a few moments later bitcoin price drops and your value also got down.

2. if you are sending from wallet exchange maybe it is because when you send the transaction cut off from fee.

3. or if you use a private wallet perhaps then the fee rate of the bitcoin itself is often large. (I ever send money with a fee of $ 10)

Im not sure what happend. Its pretty strange, don't know!

Got only 83€ left, after one transaction? Before it was like 85€, like i wrote.

Edit: Did i have to change any settings in Electrum for the fee's or whatever?

I just wanted to know, because i want to send like 150€ in bitcoins in the next transaction, that was only a test. And i lost 10€ already. Hopefully i dont loose dat much in the next transaction, would be pretty sad.

I suggest to stop looking at dollar-values. Electrum is confusing as it shows dollar-amounts from the moment you received the transaction, which is very likely different from the current value.

Everything is fine to me. Even fees are low (2.9 satoshis/bytes are really ok, it went up to 1000 satoshis/bytes in december last year).

However, you had like 95€ before the transaction, at the today's price. Are you sure you didn't mixed up € with $ at some point ?
Also, when you have btc, just think with btc. btc price in $ or € are varying a lot day to day and you'll do this kind of mix-up at some point.

This picture might help explain some things... this is a graph of the Bitcoin price (in USD)... for only the last 24 hours:


It's in 5 minute blocks. As you can see, the price is constantly fluctuating and there are just some big drops and increases in some 5 minute blocks. In the last 24 hours, there has been a ~US$400 difference between top price and lowest... around a 4-5% variation.

Basically, sending BTC, but thinking in fiat values is a "Bad Idea"™... the odds of the amount of BTC you're sending having the exact same fiat value by the time your transaction is confirmed is pretty small.
