I don't remember a country where horse gambling is illegal so far I know, all countries allow this type of gambling. Now what you're referring to is called gropism betting, it's where like minded people meet and bet within themselves it's natural to do so nothing bad in it. Forming a group and finding themselves more benefits is usually happening in most of the gambling houses hence no surprises for me in this. In our country, we are having legal horse racing still I'm not aware of any such kind of activities. I don't think its illegal in a sense. If you are talking about local bookies then its illegal. Yes, I have been in local horse racing for so long. But I already quit because our local bookies doesn't want to accept bets because the government is pursuing illegal gamblings, including horse bookies.

But if just a group of friends watching live horse racing and then trying to bet against each other, then I don't see any illegal on it as long as its within or inside their home.

Well it depends on the country if it is legal or not legal to them but here in my country it has a lot of horse racing places to make bets and sometimes it's near the train station and you would notice them because there are a lot of people were staring at the TV and probably are intense because they are betting something.

They have a regulated horse racing track a few miles from where I live so I do not see how it is illegal to bet on horses if you are with a group of people or if you are alone. That is a weird thing to try and make sense of but I think it depends on where you live because every country has their own set of rules put in place to try and curb or deter people from betting for some reason.

That's why its called the King of Sports. Even in a landbased casino, there are bonuses in a slot wherein you go run and fight against each other. lol. And there are horse racing betting as well, which replicate the scenery and ambiance on a true race track.

But yeah, I agree, we don't know why some countries banned horse racing, its extremely fun. I guess the element of gambling and animal cruelty (whipping the horse) may have something to do with the ban itself.

I don't know any groups like that, although it makes perfect sense for those groups to exist, since illegal gambling is very appealing in a lot of countries, mostly so that they can use high volumes of money, and pay no taxes (although there might be other reasons of course). In my country it's horse betting is legal, but we don't really have a physical place to bet on horses. We can just use normal sports booking sites, and bet on UK horse racing, etc.

Maybe there are some illegal groups like the one you've mentioned, but I was never looking for them, so I'm not aware of any in y region.
By the way, aren't those groups dangerous? I also associate those gambling places with money laundry, etc.

Why exactly is that illegal? This is my first time of hearing such because in my place, we see it as a normal activities and just as same as every other betting in football etc. I believe that not everyone can make it to the value where the horse racing is happening live. And this shouldn't make others who want to watch or bet on it to feel left out in participating. Or else it has to do with culture for you people.

It also happens in my place. I think they consider it illegal because there are instances wherein it caused chaos and riot in the place where the bettings are done. There is no arbiter, no middleman so they just do what they want. If they feel to ran away with the money they just do and it is causing uncontrolled fights and casualties in that place. So locally as much as possible they are trying to stop this kind of activity.

I am living in a Muslim country and therefore in my country gambling is totally illegal and if you will found as guilty then you will be charge for that, but it does not mean that people here do not play gambling, i my country people play gambling but  only on few gambling games. they mostly play gambling on dice and on sports games, where they feel more confident while playing gambling.

Horse racing is also popular in my country, but people do betting by illegally becasue it is not allow openly to do bet on horses instead of it people do it. I have seen this game when horse are racing but i have no experience of betting. Also i know the horse racing game has a big earning of gamblers.
