I usually think of ICO as a ERC20 token from Ethereum. But ICO really stands for Initial Coin Offering. So, kind of funny, most ICO is really a ITO, Initial Token Offering. But Marinecoin is offering coins as part of their initial airdrop. It is an interesting model called proof of promotion (PoP). Never heard of this type of distribution before.

They say they will use AI for machine to machine (not sure what this means) transactions. Sort of basic articial [artificial] intelligence. Who knows what the value of the coin will be, but all cryptocurrency is time tested borrowing from Bitcoin code base. It is just a matter of getting utility (usefulness) out of any altcoin. That seems to be the real challenge. I rarely see any new technology being used, just re-hashing existing code. While a dev team is important, I feel the marketing & promotion is more important for community growth and sustained usability of an altcoin.
