Ethereum could be the next Bitcoin by its price?

I think ethereum can't be next to bitcoin because ethereum price is too far from bitcoin price. So bitcoin is the one that leads to all crypto.

As we see the ethereum price is getting low and low every day. It was same thing happen with the Bitcoin in the past then it has reached where it is right now. Will we see the ethereum competing with bitcoin in the coming one year?

With this current situation where we can watch at Ethereum struggling to get back to the 1000 dollars value, it is hard to predict anything. Ethereum had a great stability and movement back in 2017 but current chaos in the market is obstructing the Ethereum growth towards the top.

In the future, no one knows what will happen. It isn't excluded that the Ethereum may compete with the Bitcoin as the time goes but for now, it is not even near the Bitcoins value and achievements. Much more investors are supporting the Bitcoin in contrary to the Ethereum

Ethereum is very good but Bitcoin is the king and remain the king. Crypto market is behind the Bitcoin. Ethereum is performing very good and attracting good investment but Ethereum can't be Bitcoin.

Too much negativity came striking Ethereum now.
Facebook and Twitter ban with ICO's, which almost everything is under ERC20. Next is G20 meeting which made panic with new ones that thought it will be a bad decision and choose to just withdrew.

I guess when everything stabilize again then we can see Ethereum back. It is the only best competitor of bitcoin that I know.

I think not because of its price but because of its market capitalization and its usage. ETH has played a major role in the cryptoworld too where most of newcomer ICOs are using the ERC-20 smart contracts of Ethereum blockchain.

     In my opinion, this is something that will really be hard if not impossible to happen since the gap between the two coins in terms of supporters and popularity is way too far which gives bitcoin a lead that will be impossible to catch up on by any other atlcoin out there. The only thing I can think of is that ethereum will only  be capable of following the steps of bitcoins or reaching the past prices of bitcoins or all time highs but not really reaching the current ones or even close to it.

Im not sure but if you will be checking the crypto market value trend, when bitcoin value is increasing also the value of ethereum and other altcoins also increasing. Also the market cap have big gap between ethereum and bitcoin. Still there is a possibility to happen but it will be hard.

If you mean that ethereum will touch the price of bitcoins ($10000), this is going to take some years in my opinion. You should consider that all the new investors start with bitcoins only. When someone starts searching about crypto, his first query is about bitcoin only. Also, there are various other alt coins capable of giving better returns in comparison to ethereum. I am not saying that ethereum does not have any potential but it is just that I do not see it touching $10000 mark any soon.

I can't agree with you by that. Have you seen the price of Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Maker (MKR) those two have a much higher price than Ethereum (ETH).
Eth could be the next bitcoin by technology but as of the moment, it cant be the next bitcoin by price. We all know that price pf crypto is so volatile, it could jump up and down in several hours. But if you could check the price graph of those two alt, it is way more higher than eth. The only thing that eth is preferred most of the people is due to its smart contract feature. People can easily deploy application that use eth compare to those two.

Gotta also consider the supply, which seems to be one of the main criteria, for the token's value to be big or not.

Functionnality isn't the only thing . Not sure that MKR would be worth what it's is worth right now, if it wasn't for its very limited sup .

ETH is no doubt really a good coin for the sake of investing of your money and that it is also helping the ones who are into day trading in making of a significant amount of money but still you can’t claim this thing that ETH will be able to beat bitcoin in any way in the future even. Bitcoin is far more beneficial and is much more demanding than that of ETH and that there is no match of both the coins.

Eth is the same as the other altcoin, whose price depends on the price of bitcoin, the ETH will definitely go back up and can compete with bitcoin, if bitcoin back up and more stable, so eth will back up, and so the best among other altcoin .

I don't think so. Bitcoin is a pioneer in this industry. I think Ethereum is trying hard to surpass Bitcoin to become the first in this industry, and the gap between the two coins of supporters and popularity is too far. , but I still hope Ethereum will do better.

no, in a year it is highly unlikely to happen. although ethereum developers have great progress. I think, it is very difficult to compete with bitcoin. not just the first crypto but more to the ever-growing asset and all the altcoins refer to bitcoin. I think there should be some altcoin that can be equal to bitcoin for balancing, so the market can become more stable.

Let's accept the fact that Ethereum is next to Bitcoin and some people assume that Ethereum will surpass Bitcoin one day. In my opinion, I think Ethereum cannot replace/Surpass Bitcoin's position. Yeah, Ethereum's price is more stable than Bitcoin and it is the only thing that Eth got Over Btc. When it comes to price, as we can see. Even though Bitcoin dropped to its lowest price, Ethereum still can't catch up to Bitcoin.
Ethereum can only surpass Bitcoin if Bitcoin ever lose its price which is very impossible for now.
But, besides that, they both have their own advantages and disadvantages that's why some people prefer to use Ethereum than Bitcoin and some people prefer Bitcoin over Ethereum. It depends on its use.
