What is RYDE?RYDE is the first decentralized rideshare company in the world. With a non profit model, RYDE aims to give the Driver community the earnings potential it was promised and the Ryder community the friendly, safe trips they used to enjoy.
Utilizing the power of the blockchain via our co-platform MYDRIVE RYDE will enable Drivers and Ryder’s to enter into smart contracts to deliver pre determined RYDE’s throughout their city.
Via the BOUNTY system, Ryder’s may add pre determined amounts to their trip total in order to entice Driver’s to accept their Ryde request.
“CURB” Requests allow Ryder’s to request a Ryde with any Driver waiting outside their venue or restaurant. CURB requests allow Driver’s to operate closer to their Taxi counterparts - legally.
95% reduction in commission rates allow Driver’s the potential to earn at a rate that is fair and conducive to the work and expenses they accumulate providing rideshare incentives.
Booking Fee’s will either go directly to the Driver or will be split until costs in specific markets are recouped.
The RYDE Rebates program will reward the best Driver’s and Ryder’s with a rebate of any profits retained by the RYDE platform. The RYDE Rebates program provides real incentive for Driver’s and Ryder’s to always be on their best, cultivating a new, positive rideshare culture.
A better rating system which weights a user’s past experiences on the platform against what they rate their Ryde counterpart ensures a much fairer and transparent system. Ryder’s who abuse the platform and rating system will first have their rating weight reduced so not to effect good Driver’s in their area. If abuse of the system (including rating negatively for free trips) continues, the Ryder may be removed entirely from the platform. The rating works the same for Driver’s. Any abuse of the system will see the Driver removed permanently from the platform.
Where RYDE operates cities can expect their fair share of income via taxes. As a non profit, an expected 95% of all income on the RYDE platform will be taxable via our Driver’s and thus remain in the local and federal economy wherever that Driver is located.
The RYDE Platform Partner Program will attract Driver related discounts so Driver’s can get the services they need to continuously provide clean, and safe trips to our Ryder’s. In exchange for Driver discounts, RYDE will reduce commission rates and booking fee splits until the Driver has recouped their purchase thus enticing more sales of the Platform Partners product.
Sponsored RYDE’s will allow businesses to sponsor RYDE’s based on Driver’s who meet their chosen criteria, including: rating, vehicle model/make, experience level, etc. Sponsors will be able to play digital ads through the Driver and the Ryder’s RYDE applications, offer discount codes to Ryder’s, and even request a Ryder make a stop at their business. In return for sponsored Ryde’s, sponsors will subsidize Ryder’s trips, and pay the Driver a pre determined BOUNTY for completing the sponsored trip.
A safer Driver focused UI giving Driver’s the tools they need to operate an effective, safe rideshare service. The RYDE heatmap will show Driver’s where they’ve picked up the most Ryder’s on a week to date basis, updated hourly. RYDE will also show Driver’s where other RYDE cars are located in their area, so they can make an informed decision as to which area they should be servicing. RYDE will work to implement voice controls to reduce the amount of times a Driver must interact with their device to acknowledge, accept, or deny trip requests.
Our CEO free, self driven structure ensures that at no time will RYDE take or profit from Driver’s hard work and money spent. The RYDE team operates as a collective, with every team member contributing to every aspect of the platform. A programmer gives his thoughts and opinions on current marketing strategies, a marketing assistant offers an improvement or suggests a new feature.
The RYDE CEO free structure ensures that no one person can hijack the collective, the platform, or make any decisions out of personal greed or for other nefarious reasons deemed detrimental to the larger collective (Drivers, Ryder’s, and Team members).
We chose the name RYDE(share) as it is almost impossible to copyright or trademark as it is a word synonymous with a service. The motivating factor? To prevent any one person, founder, or team member to hijack the brand, claim it for their own, or otherwise try to take or claim control of the initiative.
The project began in early 2017. We are currently finalizing our pre-alpha application. The official roadmap will be released post ITO. The working roadmap will be released pre-ITO. MYDRIVE development is in early stage and will not launch with the Ryde platform.
RYDE will begin as a centralized platform and move towards decentralization and automation via the MYDRIVE co-platform. Due to current regulations and laws we find it near impossible to launch a viable, and long term successful platform without this initial centralization due to current market structures.

The ROUGH Draft of the Ryde Whitepaper
Why is it a rough draft?
The rough draft is not nearly as concise as we would like it to be. There may be spelling errors, or small contradictions. There are no graphics, and no information about the ITO and the intended use of the Ryde token - at least not explicitly. In general it's lacking the final touches we would like for our official and final whitepaper release. The MYDRIVE section needs to be expanded, and explained in better detail - and while we will be releasing the yellowpaper - we believe we can put the tech into better layman terms prior to the ITO. MYDRIVE is also a working title for the team and will be renamed prior to launch. There are a few projected dates included in the rough draft which may change depending on the level of success the ITO has.
The rough draft is being released to give the general idea of our project, what we have been working on, and what you can expect from the final application on launch.
