Actually, the title of this post is an overstatement, but it helps you to get the idea. Rich people play fewer games of chance than poor people, and they risk a lower percentage of their income.

Why do you think this happens?

I suppose it is because people with a rich person’s mindset think mostly about buying assets with their money whereas people with a poor person’s mindset only think about spending their money, and the only way they can think of becoming wealthy is by hitting the jackpot.

I have to admit I burst out laughing hard when I read the title, I don't even know where the stats were taken to reach such conclusions lol. Apply common sense and ask your self how will gambling work without rich people money, there're times when they do not gamble out in the open like commoners that's the benefit of being rich I guess. They gamble 100% more than what we can do, cause they play in huge numbers unlike us.

I think this applies to rich people who become rich from zero where they were struggling with so many efforts before they are rich. They do not gamble because they know how hard to be rich. On the other hands, those who are gambling to be rich (poor) are just people who do not want to make efforts. They only want to be rich instantly from gambling but in fact they got the opposite.

I don't think so. How about those people lossing millions in casino? It's clear that they are rich because they have millions to play. Most type of people goes to casino is from middle class and up. Poor ones only prefer lottery because you only need less than 50cents to have a chance of winning millions and they don't have much capital as those in the middle class and up to be in casino.

Op is talking about mindset, its not the same when you are rich and not in many things, gambling is just one of them. Mindset of a rich people? Rich people go to casino and they enjoy in playing they favorite games, because they are rich they can risk more and enjoy more in excitement from gambling, weather they win or lose they had great time and that's count. Poor people mindset? Simple they go to casino with last money, borrowed money and they strongly believe its their night. They don't know much about a games, they don't know odds, they just wish a big win, and when that doesn't happen they fall into despair.

Can we do this in a figurative way? Because I am seeing rich people gambles more than those poor people. This rich people are used to bet on casinos the reason the government are taxing a great amount to these casinos, poor people in the other hand gamble because they want to be rich in a one go the reason they always risk their money to it. But I think rich people usually gamble too since they risk their money into investing and trading, well, as long as you are risking something you are gambling right?

Rich people gamble more than you think, they practically bet on anything because they have the wealth. Gambling is more noticeable with the poor because they always hope to win the big one that's why you see them always buying lottery tickets. In general everybody gambles its just the platform that differs.

Each person mindset is different, don't say a rich people can play only for entertainment and poor people will play for making money. there are many poor plays for time pass but they will not go to casinos they will play in hidden gambling place or with friends. but a rich people have money so they will go casino and play their fav games. but one thing is common in every gambler all play for money.

The mindset that I'm getting from these rich people is that they don't need to put their money into high risk high reward gambling session to earn more money but to put it in a very conservative investment that will provide low-risk and steady flow of money. And that , I think, is certainly why they are gradually becoming richer day by day. They have less chance to lose their money but have a higher percentage to earn some (from their low-risk ventures).

They like to play it safely and guard their money from potential losses. They almost always want to have steady profit generating businesses rather than gambling and putting it entirely on luck. They think in a very logical way and will not welcome any additional risk that could ruin their financial roadmap. That's how they think and people in average should follow it.

That's not true at all because I have so many rich friends who always do gambling.I think most of the gamblers are greedy so I think only greedy people are do gambling.Many rich people are love their money and don't want to ruin.in gambling.So itself not correct that only rich people do gambling.

Casinos are full of rich people who are gambling, and if someone think that there is bigger amount of poor people who are gambling than rich gamblers, it is only because there are more poor people than rich people.

I think it is not true that rich people don't gamble. I know some people who are rich but they still gamble. Maybe they gamble not to earn money but it is still gambling. Rich people usually gamble to have some fun or maybe a stress reliever of some sort.

Perhaps it has a lot of comparison, for example 30% of the rich and 70% of the poor who play gambling, because I still often find rich people who gamble in big money, but on the one hand the rich are very royal to spend their money.

Referring to the title, there must be a gamble and definitely not. All things in the world is done by all circles. Probably many rich people who do not gamble because they focus more on their business, busy and no time to gamble, but a rich gambler is definitely there.

Actually that is partly true. Two reasons why I believe so. First is that rich people don't really need the money they expect to win from their bets since they are already rich, unlike poor people that wants to get rich quick. Second, the amount of money they bet is for sure far larger than someone poor even if the poor person bets 100% of his money since for example if the poor person has $1,000 to bet and the rich person bets 1% of his $10,000,000 then he bets $10,000.
