I don't know..these are also the USP of Bitcoin. Bitcoin provide the complete financial freedom to individuals beyond the control of banks and other financial institution. People all around the world has understand that their so called freedom is pseudo and want to get rid of corrupt govt control.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Bitcoin was made not to help those illegal activities to succeed, but because bitcoin has a feature that would probably become a way to help corrupt officials or people bitcoin will be at risk. Sooner governments will look at this negative impact of bitcoin to established regulations that will soon kill crypto currency market. But as long as they are good thing about cryptos and many people experience help from bitcoin I think it will continue to rise and remain as a strong currency.

It is true that Bitcoin has an anonymity. But every Bitcoin transaction can be seen and traced very clearly. This is where I think that the anonymity of Bitcoin is not entirely anonymous, because it is covered by blockchain technology.

If we compare Bitcoin and US dollars as far as which is the currency which is most used for illegal activities, the US dollar has the first place by far, and this did not kill it. However, governments could use the pretext of illegal activities to crack down on Bitcoin, but it'll be just a pretext.

I certainly don't think so that bitcoin will kill itself because there are more people that support the way it's technology had ease their way of doing transactions without any involvement of bank regulations and being anonymous with the transactions. We all know that here are advantages and disadvantages of bitcoin but I think the advantage is more appreciated by more people involved with bitcoin because of the great profit they are earning.

Here many countries see from the negative side of bitcoin alone, why they do not see the positive position as well, because until now bitcoin gives a lot of prosperity to the community and also reduce poverty with the result of bitcoin.

One of the best features of Bitcoin is it's anonymity. This is also one of the reason why countries are banning or at least hesitant to embrace the technology. From money laundering to illegal drug transactions to human trafficking. We always blame the FUD from mainstream media, financial institutions like banks, the government etal. But do you think, the one that would "kill" Bitcoin is actually the nature of it.

Here's another news where Bitcoin was being used in an illegal activity. This will raise a lot of eyebrows because it concerns our children.

http://www.news.com.au/finance/money/investing/bitcoin-could-become-illegal-after-its-blockchain-was-discovered-containing-child-abuse/news-story/bf486e6e8de453fd7ad2abba019952dd

Let's begin with the article. It's bad journalism, full of speculation. They came to a conclusion that it could become illegal because of some content that was found. In reality, the article that first mentioned that said that "1 file of what might be child abuse was found". Might be, meaning that they aren't even sure, but yet there's this media hype, this pressure to make a big deal out of it. Somebody doesn't like BTC and wants it gone, that's how I see it.

As for the illegal activity that you're mentioning, show me a currency that isn't used for it. Show me a car manufacturer that never had their product used in a hit and run or any other illegal activity. Maybe we should start blaming Ford for that body found in the back of a truck, made by them? Or maybe we should blame Uncle Sam for those bills found in the pocket of a terrorist?
Absolutely right. It would be very unfair to blame bitcoin totally for this.Critics have already tried lots of tactics to accuse bitcoin and this is yet another new one.Every product has its own pros and cons. The cons of bitcoins are over zoomed by media in favour of bankers and financial firms who feel bitcoin as the biggest threat to them.

I think it's Not. The nature of bitcoin being anonymous are the reasons why people accept it,together with being decentralized. People always support and trust bitcoin because of this unique and special nature and bitcoin become famous and valuable because of that nature. I think banks and government has nothing to do to about that but to strive on how to put taxes and regulations. Bitcoin only killed for those people with negative thoughts about it but not the nature itself.

Ethereum will kill the crypto's image, it gave birth to so much Ico and scams that leads to multiple bans from big companies and countries. Bitcoin isn't anonymous it ain't the threat. Search Ross Ulbricht and you can see that transactions can be traced.

Do you think dollar is not used in this type of criminal activities.No.All the FIAT will be used for such activities. And this is not the mistake of currency used for.It was in the mindset of people involved in such activities.

Ross Ulbricht wasn't caught because of blockchain evidence. He was caught because he slipped up while using aliases on the internet. In any case, bitcoin's pseudonymity is mimicked or enhanced by all cryptocurrencies. There is no such thing as a KYC compliant cryptocurrency. Neither will such a cryptocurrency ever be successful.

Bitcoin is anonymous and decentralized. So some criminals use bitcoin as a way of using money for crime. But only a small fraction of bitcoin is used as a crime fund. This is not a reason to deny bitcoin. Now that most criminals use legal money to commit crimes, should we ban fiat money? I think the answer is no.

Bitcoin as a digital currency can be use by criminals to carry out they illegal transactions just as the same thing can also happen with the US dollars and the pounds it self, criminal can use any means that is open to them to carry out they illegal deal's and bitcoin is not an exemption criminal always see bitcoin as a safe heaven for they illegal activities since bitcoin is decentralized and not controlled by any body.

Ahem guys Bitcoin is not anonymous  Grin I am also starting to doubt its decentralization. People think hiding behind Tor and coin mixers will give them privacy. In my humble opinion it would actually be harder to trace a suitcase with unmarked banknotes in it than coins over the Blockchain. P2P exchanging of stolen goods off the Blockchain could be potentially anonymous, though.

You know in many countries if one tries to commit suicide or kill himself, the penalty is death. So even if bitcoin isn't able to kill itself then something else will. Oh wait if only bitcoin was a human. Bitcoin is not. It cannot die. It cannot kill itself. I don't see why people are specifically blaming bitcoin for the supposed illegal activities. After all bitcoin is also a currency which comes under money. People have been doing illegal activities even before money existed. Get over it.

I don't know why some people always connect bitcoin with illegal activities. bitcoin is not created to facilitate illegal activity. illegal activities already exist before bitcoin is created. so bitcoin can't death just because some people abusing bitcoin because many more people use bitcoin in positive activities like investment and payment methode.

Bitcoin can't kill itself but its community can do it by fighting with each other instead of focusing on making Bitcoin better and faster. We focus too much on money, this is what divides our community these days. Bitcoin is beyond the control of banks and governments. The only thing they can do is making selling Bitcoin more difficult. Why would we sell Bitcoin if it can become a future currency used by many people? They can't stop Bitcoin now, it's too late.

Exactly, it is anonymous but Blockchain technology made it more trust worthy and one can not blame Bitcoin for its anonymity. Anyone can invest in this business using Blockchain technologies. Only you can make it risky if you do not take care of your wallet.
