One of the best features of Bitcoin is it's anonymity. This is also one of the reason why countries are banning or at least hesitant to embrace the technology. From money laundering to illegal drug transactions to human trafficking. We always blame the FUD from mainstream media, financial institutions like banks, the government etal.

Open your eyes wide, don't judge bitcoin from the negative side only. Bitcoin has been proven much to help the economy of citizens, especially the weak economy.
Remember!, bitcoin is money, and money is a tool for making transactions. Thus, bitcoin and money have the same properties and benefits both of which are vulnerable to misuse by their owners.
Money, since the second world war has given birth to millions of corrupt officials including several presidents, ministers, and board members.
Before the creation of bitcoin, money is the majority of some terrorist crime, the purchase of forbidden goods. Did you know, the total donation received by ISIS is estimated to reach 40 million US dollars per year and everything is money, not bitcoin!.

Please Research yourself correctly!!!.
It should you learn the content of the news first, because the news's possible coming from people who hate bitcoin.

But do you think, the one that would "kill" Bitcoin is actually the nature of it.

Yes, that may be true but from which side do you look?..

Bitcoin is just like any other currency which serves as a medium of exchange so anybody can use it just like any other currency. Yes we all frown on crime but let's as ourselves; were people not commiting crimes before bitcoin came? What currency were they using? Criminals will always be criminals whether there is bitcoin or not.

This is double sidede knife actually. BTC cons and pros. People prefer anonymty but goverments and financial institutes don't like privacy :/
Bitcoin is increasingly receiving the support of the international community but it certainly still has many shortcomings to overcome in the future. There is a need for management of bitcoin to prevent fraud and illegal activities implemented through bitcoin.

Bitcoin will never kill itself. Maybe, the users here are the non-legit users the scammers that wants to kill bitcoin and create a new crypto that they are thinking that can beat bitcoin.

Bitcoin can not kill itself since people and government have started accepting it as digital currency and nowadays many investors prefer holding bitcoin more than fiat.
The point is that the nature itself of bitcoin can eventually backfire since government and its institutions are in chase of illegal activities including cryptocurrency because of its anonymity. Yes there are countries that embrace the blockchain technology but they are still in large of those people using crypto for illegal transactions.

these are the main disadvantages of btc which prevents it to go mainstream and slows down the rise of it. But those activities are happening with any kind of asset whereas they are regulated. But I am sure there is a way to stop and prevent those disadvantages.

The existence of alleged misuse of bitcoin as a crime tool is the reason for the government not to legalize bitcoin in the country. However, some governments are not strictly prohibited from seeing the possibility that bitcoin has a large positive effect. You are right, even fiat currency also has the potential to be a criminal tool, so let's take a wise conclusion about this. because it all depends on the user.

Here's another news where Bitcoin was being used in an illegal activity. This will raise a lot of eyebrows because it concerns our children.

http://www.news.com.au/finance/money/investing/bitcoin-could-become-illegal-after-its-blockchain-was-discovered-containing-child-abuse/news-story/bf486e6e8de453fd7ad2abba019952dd

I don't think so... Bitcoin will kill itself. Because first of all bitcoin is not design for a tools of crime. It's depends the user's itself how they use bitcoin in good ways or in bad ways. Crime is already exist..  even if the bitcoin was not born before. So we can not blame that because of  bitcoin the crime was created. The goal of Bitcoin is to help people eliminates poverty in good ways.

Bitcoin, Money, and blockchain technology, these three Media have been abused by an unscrupulous third party.
Honestly, after I read the news content from the site, I think I would like to say harsh words to those who have misused the blockchain technology.
For you OP, blockchain technology is not the nature of bitcoin but one of the media that bridges between humans with bitcoin commonly called transparent.

At times price of bitcoin experiences such a massive volatility. As volatility is one of the best feature it has got, people are much aware about the same while a small user community panic on such falls and this leads to continuous drop. To overcome this drop should have the patience.

How can you say it that will kill itself on what are your basis just because of this link. I doubt that bitcoin it kill itself and in terms of banning of some countries yes that was acceptable but look at the other way or possitive way because here in my country bitcoin banned before but right now the government was accept and legalize bitcoin so i doubt bitcoin will kill itself.

I know Bitcoin anonymity feature may kill itself but this is the basic foundation of Bitcoin, hence you cannot argue against its basic principles. I know this feature is main targeted by the government of various countries when they try to ban as anonymity feature has helped in money laundering and increasing crimes. People now don't need to reveal their identify and can easily have their work done, but I believe if KYC is introduced when we need to use Bitcoin then we can solve this problem to some extent.

Bitcoin won't kill itself, because we all know that bitcoin has proven itself until now, kindly read this, the counter for that news.

THE internet jumped on a new research paper proclaiming that the bitcoin blockchain contains child pornography. The authors of that paper conclude that if you’re one of the thousands of people running a full copy of the bitcoin software, or even just a curious researcher downloading the transaction history, you’re breaking the law. Because removing any data from the blockchain destroys the functionality of the system, this legal trouble could spell doom for cryptocurrencies.

What was missing from the conversation is a more nuanced understanding of how the law works. Blockchain technologies in their current form may run afoul of the most literal interpretation of the law, but neither the legal system nor the technology are that pedantic. Both sides can be more flexible than they first appear, and innocent blockchain users aren’t going to jail. Still, the debate raises meaty questions about how the blockchain might stack up against current U.S. law.

read here for further details https://www.wired.com/story/why-porn-on-the-blockchain-wont-doom-bitcoin/

why does gorvernment won't ban bitcoin?? because governments will earn more on digital currency even those individual people on governments wants to earn big time, so there is no reason to ban it just because of illegal activities. Fiat, digital currency (bitcoin) or anything that has a value can use on illegal activities that is why you can't just ban bitcoin with just like that. If they will buy bitcoin so it means they will ban fiat?? illegal things are transacted by fiat too. So their is no weights on their research, they are not looking at the bigger picture, they are just focusing on one side.

Bitcoin was not made with the intention of being used for illicit activities it was created to solve the problem on the centralized currency.
I do not think that the forbidden activity used by bitcoin to end itself.

If bitcoin kills himself, it will not happen because he is actively used by criminals because he is anonymous. He's just anonymity relative. According to the studies, bitcoin for illegal purposes is used in no more than ten percent of cases. The reason for such a small use by criminals is that it has rather low anonymity. Criminals are more likely to use coins with a high level of anonymity, these are coins Monero, ZCash, Dash. Do not be afraid of bitcoin. Bitcoin should be afraid of investors' agiotage demand. A large price for bitcoin can kill him.

Bitcoin can not kill itself since people and government have started accepting it as digital currency and nowadays many investors prefer holding bitcoin more than fiat.

Is this true ?? Ripple is heavily centralized, working with big banks and money transfer companies like Moneygram and Western Union.

Now 1 Ripple = $0.60 only

Bitcoin was not made for the purpose of being used for illegal activity that was made to solve the problem of centralized money.
If there is no anonymity in it, you understand there will be very few investors putting in everything

Yes, you're right. For me, bitcoin is not actually the problem why it goes that way. Bitcoin and its technology used are made for the good of the people. Only those greedy ones are doing illegal activities by using bitcoin as their tool and making use of its features just to scam people or to do criminality.
