Since it does not make a profit, it can not be priced in the way that most other assets can be valued. While a commodity such as gold can be used to create something of value, a Bitcoin is always left in a computer. If the ways Bitcoin is used can not be further developed, the demand for it can be reduced.
The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Too low volume on the market at the moment + a lot of FUD in general in the entire market, that is what is causing the price to drop hardly
