Maple Coin is technology which provides security or functional advantages for certain projects.
Maple is designed to mitigate the risks associated with key re-usage and one-input-to-one-output tracing.
Every address for a payment is a unique one-time key, derived from both the sender’s and the recipient’s data.
Maple Coin solves this dilemma by an automatic creation of multiple unique one-time keys,
derived from the single public key, for each p2p payment.

it's cryptonight and those new cryptonight ASICs are out there.  Really good for coin development and securing the blockchain.  Not the greatest thing for old-school GPU miners.  1 ASIC miner = hundreds of GPU dudes.  I guess it will all work out.  Not that big a deal.  Just a lot of heated opinions out there right now and picky miners regarding algorithms.

Ahhh, well this is very interesting then.  I can imagine a lot of rubberstamp quick-buck shadow lurkers are out there doing their X11, Scrypt, etc etc ASIC coin thing.  But if you guys are serious enough to adjust fire on the algo front then...
