I am not stating the pool is not trustworthy, all I was saying is that I was "negatively affected in by decision" when I saw this.
By the way: To get the current hashrate, just average the block speed generation time over the past X blocks.

None of the pools mining TAG display the global hashrate. I wont code a line to display that, bacause calculation wouldnt be perfect. Mark (tagbond) made a decision to not show the global hashrate, he had his reasons.

You picked the pool and made an insulting post instead of asking. That made me pissed off, you dont have the right to state "hard to trust" or "how the fuck" before you have any bad / good experience with the service. And this is a free world, you can make your choice, where to mine.

Thanks for your time, I hope we are okay.

Actually, I cannot build this into the client, and there is no truly accurate way of measuring the global hashrate of a hybrid coin like TAG coin, due to PoS block creation. We could add up all the pools that mine TAG, and if there is an API to get that, then we might do that in future, but it would still be skewed by the PoS block creation which we have no way to monitor. Unless someone knows something I don't know?..I am learning new stuff all the time..Wink

TAG needs some hype

I agree.  This seems to be where the profit is at.  It's a very cool coin in my opinion.  It looks like the pool is down at the moment.  Is everything ok?

The pool seems to be working much better since the update.  Nice job on the management!  I was wondering if you ever plan to have block finding rewards.  There are some great pools out there of other coins that offer a reward to the finder of blocks.  Does not necessarily have to be the full reward, but even if its a percentage, it would be a really nice incentive for all the miners.  Perhaps even weekly random coin rewards or something. Could really make this a super fun pool to be in.  Just throwing some ideas out there.  Once again, thanks for running the premiere tagcoin pool on the web!

Thank you.

Pool has no fee, so Im not planning to give bonus for finding a block. TAG worths too much to pay bonus from my own wallet. Smiley

That's fair.  I suppose in the long run, having no fee will save quite a bit.  I see tag fluctuating between $1.50-$2 a day now.  Seems to me the word is getting out that it's the coin to mine over litecoin.  With any luck, we can bring this coin to the top!  I have a question on the whole minting aspect.  It says that after 30 days, you can start to earn interest on your coins.  How does that whole thing work?  If I unlock my wallet after 30 days does it start automatically?  Also, is it a consistent 1.5% of the combined total of the 30 day old coins?

yeah, it was pretty much frozen all last night.  The shares were going up and up but the confirms were not moving.  Looks to be all cleared up now.   Had a few orphans but it looks like that has cleared up a bit as well.  Can you explain how the stake feature works seeing as how it's part of what makes the coin so special?  Thanks.

Stake feature gives you interest after your unspent coins. The rate is 1.5% per year, you get stake monthly as I know. Your wallet needs to be unlocked once a month and you have to let it run for a while to generate PoS coins. I dont know the exact details, you may ask it in the official thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=317408.0

What are people not donating to the pool? I understand that it's optional but .01 to 1 is not a lot... Plus the pool is providing a service. Let's show some appreciation by donating at least 1%. Or .5% anything is good to show support to the pool operator.

I wouldn't tell everyone about tagcoins it will raise the difficulty and lower your reward. Wait until you have a good amount of coins and then drive the value up. Or let people find out on their own that's the best way!

I agree, Kenny.  It's a dangerous game to play though as we need more people involved to raise the value, but we don't want too much to make the difficulty go up.  It's great to get into this coin so early in it's life as it actually shows great promise.  The value seems to fluctuate between $1.50 and $2.  That's miles ahead of, say, feathercoin.  It started earlier and it's worth about 40 cents with a higher difficulty.  Plus this coin gives you interest like Peercoin.  I really like having this coin all to ourselves at the moment, lol.

I see some orphaned blocks are still getting through.  Not to the extent that it was before the update, but still quite a few.  Is there anything we can do? or is it an inherent issue with the coin itself?

It will be solved with the update after 2nd of Feb. Smiley So nothing to do imho.
