Hello, have you seen the latest XMR news? The developers plan to update the mining algorithm  every six months for the ASIC to be useless.

What do you think?

it seems that this is a very necessary information we need to be aware of because I think this could be a factor that makes some altcoin decrease now, then do you think there is a positive side or advantage to the users of crypto currency?

I like it.  There are a few coins that launched as “ASIC resistant” but have been taken over by ASICs anyway.  Monero launched as ASIC resistant and intends to stay that way.  Props to them for sticking to their original idea.

this could be the right way to stop the massive ASIC mining farm for monero.
But we must see which kind of change, developers will do.
Maybe if the algo, will change in the wrong way, ASIC could be reusable by an easy Firmware Update.

Plus, there are concerns that ongoing edits to the underlying algorithm could weaken the code, opening doors to vulnerabilities.

Good luck with this new direction...

I am wondering also if the update of the code will get to creating a separate coin, a fork.

ASIC resistant sounds good, lets just hope for the best I guess, I like Monero.
