It's true that some articles have stated things like that recently, but could just at least share your sources & share some more information?
With a quick search I found this article on CoinGape:

I think the most justified tax ranges from 0% to 30% of every crypto transaction. Anything more than that I think it is too insane for it to be considered as a tax.
