The world needs a lot of blockchains, each of them optimized for a specific application protocol. While the CyberMiles is going to build a commercial chain and many blockchains could run on it.

No comparing, No choice. Now is test net of CMT is ongoing, everyone could go to the official site to experience the net. U could find the gas and speed win the contracts based on the ETH. The CyberMiles blockchain platform will be fully compatible with Ethereum and the General Network. ( Now it is 100 times faster than Ethereum.

in my own opinion, NEO is the ethereum's rival due to it's scalability, flexibility and transaction speed.
for me, NEO is better than Ethereum but both of them offer smart contracts but Ethereum is more trusted when it comes in smart contracts because almost all new altcoins today are based on EThereum's blockchain backbone and ERC20 platform coin.
But NEO isn't that far from Ethereum, there are also new altcoins today that adapts NEO's smart contract as well.

The SEC may start cracking down on ERC20 tokens really soon, we've seen how bittrex delisted over 80 ERC 20 tokens because of this. ETH being a protocol predominantly for ICO's, this is bad news.. Not to mention the amount of stagnant ETH waiting to be dumped by these massive ICOs like Omisego and EOS, etc.

This is why I see KMD as an ETH killer. dICOs (decentralized ICO's, there is no way to stop this). On top of that KMD is the king of atomic swap, having performed close to 100k. Imagine investing in an ICO and being able to instantly atomic swap any of your coins for the ICO tokens. Not to mention Baterdex, a decentralized exchange built strictly implementing KMD. The potential is massive and they aren't just giving promises. KMD makes moves.

Only shame is that many project are all talk and no action. KMD is all action and no talk, they seem to be content being super under the radar.

Don't think anything (except Bitcoin) can compete Ethereum. Yeah, the coin might be faster and has a lower comission but, come on, that is Ethereum! Lot of coins made on it's base, it's a legend.

You can see in Bitcoin, expensive and low speed transactions compare to new crypto like BCH or others, but no thing can beat BTC. And i thing the same with Ethereum, it's a basic platform and token standard for almost ICO in this time.
Recently we can see Cybermiles with their Ad that their blockchain faster and will be the next competitor of Ether blockchain. We can wait after their test-net to check that.
And another is EOS, they will launch their Mainet on July, which they call the strongest blockchain ever

I can definetely say now there is no competitor of ethereum, but to me, one of the coins that can be competitor of ethereum in the future is neo, not lisk or stratis. But it needs few years.

CyberMiles ain't doing sht. Simple. I don't really like coins with 1b supply  Grin
But maybe it has a point idk.
I think only NEO can be considered as ETH competitor. Sure, there are other top coins, but I feel NEO is just kinda different I guess.
This topic is probably just for promotion  Wink

I was gonna say NEO as well. Thought it's somewhat behind compared to ETH i still think it has a lot of potential to overtake ETH in the future.

The world already has lots of blockchains and imo we have too many already. Now we even know some projects which aim to connect the blockchains with one another. Neo is a good eth's competitor, because it allows to program icos on normal programming languages as well as has a good team leader and no major security problems so far. Some also say that eos is somewhat a competing project, but that might be a bit wrong, since this project is just different. As for cmt, it does sound like an improvements of smart contracts, but we don't know if it is secure enough as a platform.

For the umpteenth time, Bitcoin does not compete with Ethereum! They are two separate foundations and two separate beasts. Comparable platforms are EOS, QTUM, WAVES, NEO, and such.

Currently there is no competitor of ETH.ETH has its own prominent position in crypto due to its smart contract. Now another Chines ETH NEO is another modified updated version of ETH.Currently NEO is undervalued.NEO runs its own blockchain which is improved version of ETH algoritm, making it more secure. No of ICO are being launched on NEO Platform. However if in upcoming years if developers of NEO succeed in modifying it with something unique that is above ETH technology then it would certainly surpass ETH but it will take time but its possible.

It is 100 times faster than Ethereum only because nobody is using it. But what if the same load will be placed as Ethereum has right now?
For me much more fundamental are EOS and Cardano.

Apart from NEO most of these so called competitors are miles away from releasing a working product. LISK will release an improved version of ethereum later this year with ICOs and DAPPS running along their sidechains, and in a language most people already know i.e. javascript.

Doesn't seem like this has the potential really rival Ethereum. I think you should take a look at NEO and EOS, these are two platform coins which have a lot of potential and will probably rise up in the rankings soon enough.

Several that comes to mind are: NEO, ICX, ARK, QTUM

NEO is gaining traction...may take a few years but it will eventually be an ETH threat.

ICX is currently an ETH token but will launch their own platform as early as next month.  It is dubbed as the "aircraft carrier" of crypto...basically proposing to do similar as what CMT is proposing...making various coins and tokens work with their platform.

ARK is another that ties various crypto with the Smart Bridges.  Again similar to ICX and CMT.

QTUM is a darkhorse, much like ETH but moving unnoticed...

I believe on all these 4 and hold them.

Yeah I know, I mean Ethereum doesn't have any obvious competitor. That coin is a base for lot of other coins and it;s not only about the price.

Dude i have a question for you? How can you define if neo platform already released the product and how you can define it as a product of neo platform? In fact, ethereum already used to create live Dapps in its blockchain while other still doing nothing with its blockchain. Just curious about what do you mean about the product from the neo platform. Is it the staking system or what?

Same here also, I think Neo is the next big thing after ETH and a strong competitor for ETH to challenge its hegemony. However, we must be also be objective about this also that can any of these coins with their own Blockchain challenge ETH. Cos when ETH came, we were looking out that surely ETH will compete and outrun Btc, this however have not been possible so far. But I do know ETH is gonna face some fierce competitions sooner or later.
