Hi people..

I'm new here but have been interested in Bitcoins for quite a while.

I should have been more interested a few years ago and maybe I would have been able to get a lot more bitcoins. I've mined bitcoins slowly over the last 6 months but it seems to buy decent hardware to mine them you need a bit of dollar these days and have to wait a long time before the hardware actually gets to you.

I am from New Zealand and worked all my adult life at ISPs in New Zealand plus I've had a number of websites which have been pretty popular over the last few years (One of them was within the top 50 in New Zealand a number of years ago).

The availability of bitcoin hardware in New Zealand is pretty lacking at the moment except for a few people trying to sell off their S/H hardware on trademe (trademe is NZ's largest website a little like ebay) and the prices they want for them are pretty expensive that they won't make any profit)

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Hi and welcome to bitcointalk. Glad to have you here in the community!  Cheesy  Mining bitcoin is pretty difficult to get into at this point without massive amounts of capital for new-generation asics. Personally, I'm just trying to find ways to work for / earn bitcoins as quickly as possible....

I would sell adverts on my website but I don't think I would find anyone who would pay (in bitcoins) the same amount that I am getting via Adsense. I have looked at a-ads/coinurl etc and the amount they are paying is a small percentage compared to other ad networks.
