Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

A golden face, the text "Halloween 31.10.2013" (interestingly not using US date-formatting while Halloween is primarily an American holiday) and a clock counting down to the end of the 31st of october (UTC) and a link to the SatoshiDice main website.

in your start topic you said:

http://www.satoshidice.com/countdown/

At your page there's a date: 31.10.2013

but the 3044420 seconds are equal to 35 days.

I think I'm missing something.

oh, now I saw that tiny black colon on a dark background

suggestion: make the space between the numbers splitted by the colon larger and enlarge and use a ligher color for the colon
