World population is very close to 8,000,000,000 people.

If each person drinks average 4 litres of water everyday, that would be 20,000,000,000 litres of drinking water is needed everyday worldwide.

Now water needed for cooking for 8,000,000,000 people everyday.

So some 100,000,000,000 litres of clean/pure water is needed everyday worldwide.

There is a story about a plantation/farm in California. They started using water for their farms and ground water level fell very low.

1 tree needs 10 litres of water. So 10,000 trees will need 1,00,000 litres of water.
