Hi there
I currently have 2x 7950's that I use for gaming as well as mining. I would, however, like to buy a new R9 290x when it comes with a custom cooler to use this as the primary card. That means that I will occasionally mine with it (whenever im not using the computer) and then leave the 2x 7950's mining 24/7. Is this possible? Using different GPU's in the same computer?
Kind regards

Perfectly possible.
I used to run a 5870, 6970, 7850 and 7950 all in one machine.

Perfect, just what I needed to know, thanks EDIT: On a side note, what setup would be best for my air flow / heat management? Im thinking the following, if I plug one of my 7950's into a x1 -> x16 riser - this shouldn't affect mining afaik? https://i.imgur.com/y1MVq4z.jpg

Alright thanks, do you agree on how I set them up? With as much space in between as possible

You also need to have some exhaust fan and intake fan and your good
