Just looked for alternatives that arend extremely overfarmed with expensive equipment... but... the price..

Best paid prices i see are at 0,00000778  BTC and .. there is pretty few buyers if any.

That would be roughly 129 000 BBQ coins for ONE BTC.

1 BTC roughly 142 €? thats 0.0011 c per BBQ or 900-1000 for 1€.  Farming 1000 would end up costing more for electricity Oo.

Is there any chance for it to revive or its  on the path of no return?

Thats what im asking.

Unfortunately BTC is not possible anymore - its not for  normal people. You must be using some pretty advanced ASIC miners just to see any money... and even then you may not get any profit at all.

Most alts i see yeah are cheap fakes and crap .. like the pyramid schemes and " get paid to read emails" stuff.

Anything besides litecoin even worth looking into at all (script based so ASIC farms wouldnt screw everyone).

I gave BBQ a try to see how it goes (let it run on background for roughly 18h at 130 kh/s) - and it made roughly 40 coins...  0.044$ at best if lucky - whiel consuming  most likely 2kwh (0.15$).

Use MiddleCoin.com

It mines the best alt coin at the time and exchanges it to BTC for you.

this looks interesting.. saves alot of the trouble of micromanaging diff alts.

Specially since im not planning to full time farm it - but rather put the idle pc to some use while its  up anyways or when im not gaming  (so 0 to hardware costs).

I assume it use btc wallet for it?

It just mines the best profitable coin for you and converts them to BTC for you and just pays you out into BTC to what ever BTC wallet you use.

hmm middlecoin is promising but it does seem to have a huge flaw - 0.001 min payout. Thats quite alot to reach with altcoins without dedicated GPU mining rig.

Tried it for 12h at 130kh/s (not at full capacity - 0.00003 estimated balance and 0.000016 balance) - on full capacity atm id  do 0.00012btc /24h qt full capacity - roughly 0,017 € - doesnt even get close to covering power costs (24h would be 2-3kwh at 0.06€/kwh).

If you're mining for profit, don't bother, the opportunity is gone.

If you're mining for fun, pick your favorite alt coin and enjoy yourself.

If you want to make money with bitcoin, buy some and put it in cold storage for a couple years. Then buy some more and spend it. And tell your friends.

BBQ is not dead. We are still trucking along over at bbqcoinfoundation.org. Be forewarned non of us will claim that BBQCoin will make you big money or will be the next big thing. We simply enjoy working with BBQCoin, expanding on our technical skills and meeting new people from around the world. BBQ is a fair coin with no pre-mine, insta-mine or extreme block reward drop. It has been around for over a year and will be around for years to come. If you are hoping to make a lot of money quickly then our community may not be right for you.

Worst case scenario: Your spare GPU cycles can be exchanged for BBQ Sauce Smiley

it doesnt even have to make tons of money.... but it should at least cover the power bill.

and sauce? 37,200 coins for 4 bottles. Most likely international postage fee not included ... which would be more then the cost of bottles + power bill for this many coins Oo.

BBQcoin is not worth selling at the moment. Once upon a time it went for some nice prices, I am not sure what happened, maybe the people who bought millions then dumped them at a loss later or something, or maybe it is just that the number of coins minted per day is a larger supply than the demand demands lately.

It is a pity as it was pretty nice for a while, I saw them sold for up to seven bitcoins per hundred thousand. I hope the people who bought in lots of 100,000 at a time back then didn't end up dumping them at a loss but who knows, maybe they did.
