This is more awesome news for Bitcoin.  Pozible.com, one of the more popular rewards based crowdfunding sites, particularly in Australia has announced today that they will begin accepting Bitcoin as a means of funding:

Do you guys think this is a trend?  Will the even bigger platforms like Kickstarter and indiegogo turn to Bitcoin soon as well?

Clearly, we think this is great news. Bitcoin Crowdfunding was bound to come to the bigger fiat platforms eventually. The more the merrier in this space will only introduce more Bitcoin to more people which is a good thing.

Bitcoin is natural for crowdfunding. First, its easy & cheap to send transactions to a private third party (not a business) using Bitcoin. Second, a lot of startups will likely want Bitcoin because they are Bitcoin-related (especially in the tech area) or just want to use it.

Awesome. Next it will be on Paypal and Amazon (jk, I know that's at least 1 year off, if not longer).
This is a big step.

We need to get this mentality into the YouTube community.

I think sometime in 2015 we will see the first major corporation start using btc.  Amazon or Paypal.  Paypal is already hinting at it.
