I have looked at localbitcoins.com but I do not want to send my bitcoins to a third party wallet, I want to send them directly from my wallet to another person's wallet while meeting in a public place, and I want to do it with my mobile phone. Any ideas?

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

You can both use the Bitcoin Wallet for android and cash!  BTC can be transmitted by NFC or by using the QR codes.

After transmitting the coins, wait 1 hour for the 6 confirmations before you part company.

It's very easy.

You don't have to use the localbitcoins wallet. Many of my sales don't go through their wallet. The advantage is that you save the 1% escrow fee. This disadvantage is that you have to wait for a confirmation.
