It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

dont forget the extra cost
How much is the maintenance fee? When will it be implemented?

We are planning to implement the maintenance fee starting from November 1st. The amount is still being decided, the approximate cost will be $0.001 per GHS / hour.

I'm using it - I've got 3.75GH bought, and another 3GH from referrals which are mining on ghash.io pool.  I'm also mining with my hardware to the same pool, so in total I've got about 35GH.  The pool seems pretty stable.

If their charges start going up, I'll be leaving and going back to Eligius.
