I think it reached as low as 20 right? And I saw it as high as 50, so if someone bought at the peak and then bought some more at the bottom, they are already breaking even, so even peak buyers could have been doing fine at the moment. That's the type of token you would like to be in, something that could get you good results in the long run.

I bought most of mine at around 40-45 range and I am fine with that, I have made more profits from buying it early instead of waiting for it to drop. Thequin once said that they are looking into UI for sure, and I do believe that they are looking into it for sure. But you can't just close the website down, do a whole new design, and expected everything to go 100% correctly.

In my humble opinion, as a person who works in IT sector for more than 2 decades, there are also other areas where they may improve their webpage. For example - speed up transmission by removing unnecessary data transmitted from server to browser (they send already formatted date, they send "full"/BTC formatted/ amount instead of only sats etc.).

As someone mentioned before, the risk for today is that coin will be delisted from Binance and will become purely 'virtual/internal' token. Then no-one will know of it's existence if is not interested in active use of one of their sites.

Actually I bought it at high peak, different ranges were from $0.018 to $0.022 and then accumulated the whole balance to my freebitcoin. Yes its very unfortunate that prices have gone down a lot but on the brighter side I got 25% which has obviously shifted my BEP to the lower side. The main reason is I got the FUN at the current rate and as I stated earlier I am receiving good amount of RP and Satoshi with WOF.

1) How can the content of a 5 GB database bankrupt a freebitco.in?

Some small sites use a static server seed but you're right that it would be impossible on a site this large. The "computing resources" more specifically disk space required would be astronomical and make the site financially unviable. Most people won't even know what it is and will never reveal their server seed at all meaning would have to store all their rolls for eternity. With over 135 billion rolls so far that would be infeasible.

2) How can the content of a 7 GB database cost a fortune?

Of course, you will get your coins. I'm just explaining that it might take a very long time. The closure notices were given years ago and it is now very time consuming to manually deal with those who waited until after we closed down the withdrawal system.

You have given me an idea though. I'm going to suggest to wetsuit that we set a cut-off date maybe 2 or 3 months for now. If anyone hasn't requested by then it will be too late and we can just deal with all requests at the same time on that date rather than having a constant flow of one or two requests a week forever. Then we can finally decommission the database that we still have to pay hosting costs on.
