Everyone acts like we are supposed to be working against each other to make money... What would happen if Alt-coins became more than just something you can trade for Bitcoins? What if they became something that brought people to bitcoin.

Right now altcoins are a small, subsection of the bitcoin world. What if they became the "gate way" coins? Altcoins can be to bitcoin, what police think marijuana is to heroine.

This could change bitcoin.

We just need more things like it.

Comparing bitcoin and alts to different types of drugs?  Roll Eyes

No, because the police are wrong about the drugs. I am comparing a perceived structure, to a possible structure. To make it easier to understand.
And most heroine addiction starts with pills, which doctors give you, not dealers. It usually starts because someone wants some of the pills from you, then the "gate" is open.

If this can get done, Bitcoin would literally be "child friendly".
People would be like "Why would I play World of Warcraft. When I could be earning coins?" or at least they would take some time of WoW to do so.
